Questionnaire Results
Get A Life Documentary Package
Question 1 - What gender are you?
According to the results, 7
people (36.8%) who answered
the questionnaire were male
and 12 people (63.2%) were
female. This suggests that
maybe, it was females that
were attracted to watching a
documentary about hobbies. Our
target audience was male and
female so as a mixture
answered our documentary, we
think this was a right choice
to make.
Question 2 - what is your age?
The majority of people
(84.2%) who answered the
questionnaire were people
aged 20 and under. This
suggests that our
documentary caught the
attention of, and is more
likely to appeal to, people
of that age range. This
works well because this was
our target audience.
Question 3 - looking at our documentary, print advert and radio advert,
would you be interested in watching the full documentary?

94.7% of people who answered


our questionnaire said that
they would be interested in
watching the full
documentary. This is good
because it shows that the
documentary was engaging,
entertaining and interesting
enough so that it would keep
an audience watching.
Question 4 - do the final productions look professional?
100% of the people who
answered our documentary
said that our final
productions look
professional. This shows
that we were successful
in following the codes
and conventions of the
documentary genre as our
own programme looked
professional.
Question 5 - is the camera work in the documentary varied and
interesting?
84.2% of people said that
our camerawork was varied
and interesting. This shows
that the camerawork appealed
to the vast majority of our
audience and that our
filming was successful in
that field. However, some
people disagreed and if we
were to do the documentary
again we would have to find
out what people didnt like
so we could fix the problem.
Question 6 - do you think the music in the documentary is appropriate and
entertaining?
94.7% of people who
answered the questionnaire
felt that the music was
appropriate and
entertaining.

This shows that it fit the


documentary well and that
it appealed to our target
audience so it worked well
overall.
Question 7 - do you think that all 3 of our products link well
together?
100% of people who answered
the questionnaire said that
they thought our 3 products
linked well together. This
shows that not only did our
documentary appeal to our
target audience but the
whole package did too. It
also proves that we created
synergy well.
Question 8 - do you think that the people we interviewed were relevant to
our topic of hobbies?
94.2% of people who answered
the questionnaire thought
that our interviewees were
relevant to the topic. This
shows that we made the right
choices when choosing who to
interview and that the
audience thought they were
appropriate too. This also
shows that they worked well
within the documentary.
Question 9 - what part of the documentary did you enjoy the
most?

There were several answers telling us what people enjoyed


the most about our documentary. All of the comments were
very positive and told us that the choices we made about
every aspect of the documentary worked well in entertaining
our target audience.
Question 10 - what part of the documentary do you think we could
improve?

The answers to this question were improvements our audience


thought we could make. Some people didnt have anything to
suggest whereas others have quite detailed answers. If we
were to do this again, we would take these comments into
consideration.
Question 11 - did you find the topic of hobbies an interesting
one?
100% of people that answered
our questionnaire said that
they thought hobbies was an
interesting topic for our
documentary. This shows that
we picked our topic well and
that it appealed to our target
audience. It also shows that
our choice of camera work,
interviews and all the other
aspects portrayed the topic
well.
Question 12 - what do you like about our print advert?

The majority of the people


who answered the
questionnaire (62.1%) said
that they liked the image
the most from the print
advertisement. This shows
that it was taken well and
that it was appropriate for
the documentary.
Question 13 - would you say the radio advert made you want to
watch the documentary? 78.9% of people who
answered our questionnaire
said that our radio advert
made them want to watch the
documentary. This shows
that it was a successful
advert and that it appealed
to our target audience.
21.1% said that it didnt
make them want to watch it
and we could find out the
reasons for this and fix
the problems if we were to
do this again.
