o Review of major incidents from 2016-2017
o Conduct meetings w/ NCSO
o Meet with stakeholder groups to discuss safety concerns
o Continue to audit the discipline through IC
o Continue to watch the cameras
o Review and edit the safety plan from 2016-2017- create a working document for 2017-2018

o During the month of May if possible conduct a review of all classrooms for returning teachers-
o Review the TKES platform
o Review the Edivate walkthroughs
o Review data to make determinations for the master schedule as well as for the school schedule
o Hold small group meetings with each department during the month of May
o Review Title I plan and fund allocation
o Review CCR plan
o Review SIP to see what goals were FO, O, E, or NA
o What did the different leadership teams look like? Who was leading each team?

o Counseling Department

o Inventory of technology- what do we have? How are teachers integrating it to allow student use to help increase student

o ALANHS- how does this program utilize technology to increase student growth and achievement
o Meet with technology department to see if any pilot programs are available for NHS with the mobile learning rollout.

o When are key times we could wear these to send a powerful message of unity and a New Newton to
the community and stakeholders?

Professionalism as the theme for pre-planning through the first 10 days of school- Make sure teachers are
armed with information to be the first line of defense against any criticism that comes our way from the
community- Push towards positivity for NHS!
