Why this workshop?

After doing engineering a student not able to design a Structure independently,

There is the Gap between what theoretical knowledge learned at collage and what
is being used in Industry. This course will Bridge the Gap between Theory and
Professional practice. In this Course you will learn the Analysis and design part of
structure from the Zero level to Final Designing. i.e. Starting structural design from
architectural plan to execution ready drawing.

About this Course

This course will focus on Structural analysis and design of RCC building manually as
well as using industry grade software. For Designing a RCC structure first analysis
from the loading has been carried out. Then design of each element is performed.

Course Highlight

Analyze a RCC structure manually and checking the forces on software.

The rule of thumb for starting any design.
Overview of modern and effective procedure for designing RCC structures.
Seminar outline

Lecture Session

Basic concept of concrete design (IS 456:2000 Limit state design Core
concepts)
Calculation and effect of various loads like Imposed load, Wind load and
earthquake loads
Structural planning
Deciding Slab Type, Deciding Beam position
Deciding Column position and fixing column orientation
Manually analysis and design of Slab, Load distribution from slab to beam,
Beam design,
Column design- Axial, Uniaxial, biaxial, slender column
Footing Design
Practical Session
Live project (Industrial approach to start a project)
Different load cases and Design combination
Analysis of structural element individually
Design of structural element manually
Use of SP16 charts in designing
Detailing of structure as per SP34.
Creation of spreadsheet for structural designing with automation
Demonstration of project with industry grade software like STAAD Pro /
ETABS / REVIT.

After this workshop one can able to design RCC structure

independently.

Certification
Certificate of completion for every student, which will increase your skills.

Give yourself confidence of knowledge.
