Expectations

I wanted a new experience in traveling somewhere else; therefore, I signed for study

abroad. I travel before and I know for a fact that I love to travel. I never been to Italy. So, I

decided in year 2017 I will go there. I hope to gain more knowledge about other cultures. In

America there are many different diversities that I'll like to explore. I thought to myself the best

way to really understand a person culture if one visits their country. I see this happen in person.

For example, I took my best friend to Ecuador. She is full American; however, her experience

their changed her mind set. She now understands more of my culture which is nice to

contribute it within our conversation.

Also, I believe that study abroad is a great quality to have in ones resume. That I was able to go

to a different country and what I have learn from school I was able to apply it in the country I

went to. Therefore, the job I am am aiming for see that I am a well around person and I can bring

to the table of what I have learn through my college years. If they do not agree that I am a well

around person, then I would go somewhere else. I would even go to a company that an Italian

person runs. So, I can have a better connection and understanding with my boss. These can apply

to any of my classmates as well. They would have a real relationship with a coworker or a boss

that is Italian in his or her job.

Since Italy is an academic experience, I anticipate to be respectful and open minded with

traditional rules within Rome. I hope to travel in a friendly group and be surrounds in a friendly

environment.
I hope to see the coliseum, pantheon, and other landmarks that are historical. I like to learn the

history, language, gestures, and how Italians life their lives. I think the best part is founding

yourself in a foreign country while soaking up the beauty that surrounds one and eating the good

food there. The knowledge will gain is another addition to the trip. I think the worst thing that

could happen during the trip is the language barrier. I also adapting to a different life style.
