Candy color is a qualitative variable because it is classified as a characteristic. The individual that we are
studying here is the different color skittles.

The number of candies in a bag is a quantitative variable because it is a numerical value that can be
subtracted or added to provide meaningful results. The individual that we are studying here is the
number of skittles in a bag.

Lower Fence: Q1- 1.5(IQR)= 58 - 1.5(3) = 53.5

Upper Fence: Q3+1.5(IQR)= 61 + 1.5(3) = 65.5

Outliers: From looking at our data there is no outliers.

Shape: I think its appropriate looking at the shape because the shape can tell us if the distribution is
normal or skewed. Looking at our histogram graph it looks like its bell-shaped which means its a normal
distribution.
