PRESENTACION.

Buenos das, mi nombre es Miguel Aguirre y voy a darles una breve charla acerca del
proceso de extraccin del petrleo y la importancia del mismo. Este proceso est
conformado por cuatro etapas.

Exploracin.

La primera etapa es la exploracin, aqu los ingenieros y gelogos aplican mtodos

cientficos y prcticos con el fin de localizar formaciones capaces de contener petrleo.
Los mtodos ms empleados son los mtodos geolgicos y geofsicos estos ltimos,
permiten generar mapas de subsuelo que facilitan la exploracin. Luego de que
localizamos el rea donde existe el petrleo pasamos a la perforacin.

Perforacin.

En esta etapa se construye un pozo con el fin de establecer una conexin entre la zona
productora y la superficie aqu los ingenieros utilizan el taladro de perforacin para cumplir
con esta operacin uno de los principales componentes de esa herramienta es la mecha
que es la encarga de triturar la formacin.

Antes de entrar a esta etapa me gustara dejar claro que algo, muchas personas piensan
que el petrleo se encuentra en el subsuelo en forma de lagos, y no es de esa forma as
que para explicar eso traje una esponja, imaginen que la esponja es una roca capaz de
absorber el petrleo, el mismo proceso ocurre en la formacin.

Anlisis de la formacin.

En esta etapa los ingenieros estiman las propiedades de las rocas y calculan la cantidad
de petrleo que se encuentra en la formacin, aqu tambin se realizan estudios
econmicos con el fin de saber cuntas divisas se van a obtener de la venta de ese
petrole.

Produccin.

En esta etapa es elegido el mtodo ms apropiado y econmico para producir, aqu el

petrleo es desplazado desde la zona productora hasta la superficie donde es
acondicionado y luego transportado a la refinera. En la refinera el petrleo es procesado
para obtener sus derivados y djenme decirles algo los derivados del petrleo se
encuentran en el 95% de las cosas que nos rodea, las propiedades del petrleo son
nicas, sin embargo, el petrleo es ms conocido por ser una fuente de energa y por esa
razn es muy importante porque es la sustancia que permite que el mundo se mueva
constantemente.

extraction process and the importance of it. This process consists of four stages.

Exploration.

The first stage is exploration, here engineers and geologists apply scientific and practical
methods in order to locate formations capable of containing oil. The most commonly used

area and the surface here the engineers use the drill to perform this operation one of the

surround us, the oil properties are unique, however, oil is better known to be a source of
energy and for that reason very important because it is the substance that allows the world
to move constantly.
