Week Four

How did you feel about TP today/this week? What areas are you focused on and what
progress have you made? Explain.

Hi this is my Forth week in TP, Im excited and sad at the same time. Exited because I achieved a lot of learning and
building good relationship with the students and teacher. Im sad because one week is left and I will not work
anymore with my lovely student. I focused in area of delivering the information in creative way for the student. I
add some progress in my way of teaching, for example, I integrated a lot of fun (learning through play). According
to physiologist Vygosky who believed, that play shapes how children make sense of their worlds, how they learn
thinking skills, and how they acquire language.
What duties / activities did you carry out during the school today? Critically Reflect: Did
you feel that you did a good job?

During this week I carried out different kind of activities, and plan very well for the lesson. All
of the activities was hand-on activities which this kind of activity in science helped the child to
understand important concepts, and these activities in science give the opportunity to discover
something completely new.

What was the most interesting science activity or strategy you saw? Why did you think it
was interesting and worth noting/remembering?

I tried the strategy of learning by doing inside the classroom. It was effective because it let them
work physically learned and interested.
When students have a physical experience, they are more likely to activate sensory and motor
areas of the brain when they are later thinking about the science concepts they learned about,.
These sensory and motor-related brain areas are known to be important for our ability to make
sense of forces, angles and trajectories.
What did you try out? Was it successful? Why/why not? Which TP competencies do you
feel you achieved and which do you think that you need to focus on next time?

I had one student who is special need in the classroom; he didnt listen to the teacher, fighting
with his friends in the group. What I try with this EN student was to give him extra support and
care in the class. My caring for the student built a cute relationship in a way that made him love
to learn and showing his progress in each time he learning something new.
What was the most important thing you learnt about students or teaching science today?
Can you think of any way you could better engage students in any activity you saw today?

Students should be asked students a question at their level, and question that lead them to think
not just need one answer. In order to develop their understanding and be active in the classroom.
Critically Reflect: Identify an aspect of your own behaviour (e.g. time / behaviour
management) that you feel you could improve upon. Discuss ways in which you could
improve this.

I think that I become good with managing the classroom through applying a verity of strategies
such as, saying eyes on me, hand up, praising the good behavior, using eye contact, etc.
I think these strategies will become effective if the number of the students is less than 30, but this
big number did not help the teacher to manage the time, behavior, and have productive learning.
Week Four

What are your agreed responsibilities for your next day/week in TP? Be specific
God willing I will help my MST in making revision with the student, and monitoring the
students while doing the exam.
