TheViceChairhasforwardedmeathreatissuedtotheorganizersoftheAvenueofRosesparade(seebelow),an
eventsetforApril29thinwhichweareregisteredtoparticipate,andwhichmanyofusarelookingforwardto.

Thethreatraisestheissueofhowtorespond.Itismyrecommendationthatweissuetheattachedlettertothe
Mayor,theChiefofPoliceandtheDistrictAttorney,alongwiththeattachedpressrelease.Then,afterreceiving
(ornotreceiving)anyresponsefromtheCity,wemightdeterminehowtorespond.Itisentirelypossiblethatthe
paradeorganizerswillrevokeourregistrationontheirowninitiative,butitseemsreasonabletogivetheCitya
chancetostepuptoitsresponsibilitieshere.

IamonaplaneflyingbackfromGermany,andunfortunatelywillnotreachPortlanduntilatleast9:20p.m.this
