2. Draw the single line PU impedence diagram for the system shown in Fig.2
Where the reactances are computed on the basis of the individual component ratings.
Express the reactances and the impedence in percent with 15 MVA as the base value.

4. Show that the PU imedence of the transformer is same whether computed from
primary or secondary. Also draw the PU equivalent circuit of transformer?
5. State the advantages of per unit system?
6. Draw the single line PU impedence diagram for the system shown in Fig.
7. For the radial network shown in Fig., a three-phase fault occurs at F. Determine the
fault current and the line voltage at 11 kV bus under fault conditions

10. Three generators are interconnected by a tie bar through current limiting reactors,
each of 12% reactance based upon the rating of the machine to which it is connected.
A three-phase feeder is supplied from the bus bar of generator A at a line voltage of
6.6kV. The feeder has a resistance of 0.06 ohm/phase and an inductive reactance of
0.12 ohm/phase. Estimate the maximum MVA that can be fed into a symmetrical short
circuit at the far end of the feeder.
11. A delta connected balanced resistive load is connected across an unbalanced three-
phase supply as shown in Fig. With currents line A and B specified, find the
symmetrical components of line currents. Also find the symmetrical components of
delta currents. Do you notice any relationship between symmetrical components of
line and delta currents? Comment.

14. The system shown in fig. is initially on no load. Calculate the sub transient fault
current that result when a three phase fault occurs at F, given that the transformer
voltage on the high voltage side is 66 kV.

16. Draw the zero sequence network for the system described in Q.15. Assume zero
sequence reactance for the generator and motors of 0.06 PU. Current limiting reactors
of 2.5 ohms each are connected in the neutral of the generator and motor No.2.
