Comments: Ms. Lane has built and established relationships with all of the students. She is able to manage behavior during
her lesson. She remains positive and addresses classroom interruptions during her lesson.

Comments: Ms. Lane started her lesson in a timely manner. She managed her time and provided an engaging learning
environment.

Comments: Before starting Freedom Summer, Ms. Lane connected the text back to the students prior knowledge on
segregation. Ms. Lane used different teaching strategies during her lesson.

Intern ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate.
Comments: During the lesson, Ms. Lane circulated the room to help students and to provide feedback to students as
needed. She made sure that students also had access to the book during the independent part of the lesson.

lesson for individuals based on student responses.

Comments: Ms. Lane uses different types of questions to evaluate students. Ms. Lane provides adequate amount of wait
time for students to answer.
