continue learning about the axis and how the United States and the allies were able to defeat the axis during WWII.
Turn to your shoulder partner and share one thing that you learned about the political ideologies of the axis during
WWII. Both partners will have 20 seconds each to share. After both partners have shared, I will call on a few
students to share their answers with the whole class.

Co-Teaching Strategy
Which co-teaching approach will you use to maximize student achievement?

No co- teacher(s) present for lesson.

Differentiation Strategy
What accommodations/modifications will you include for specific students?
Do you anticipate any students who will need an additional challenge?
The lesson will be presented in a way that best accommodates all students IEP plans and individual
learning needs. The classroom includes a variety of learners, from gifted students to students
requiring an IEP plan. Gifted students are frequently put in roles that allow them to thrive in the
classroom and keep them engaged in the learning. Students requiring IEP plans are provided with
the necessary accommodations and modifications needed to meet their needs and help them to
excel in their learning. The students with physical or other conditions that require careful placement
have been seated in a way that best fits their needs. This includes having students with visual or
audio impairments to sit near the front of the classroom. One students with a more severe visual
impairment has been provided with modified texts when needed. This student will be provided with a
text that can be read. I would also make sure that the student is able to read the text before having
them read aloud to the class.

I would have my visually impaired student requiring an IEP again use a modified worksheet that will
be easier for the student to read. I will also make sure that any student requiring modifications are
being accommodated.

My visually impaired student with an IEP will be provided with the appropriate worksheet. I also have
a set of provided notes that I will give to the student at this time in case any information was missed
during note- taking. I can also have this student verbally complete the assignment with me if needed.

Closing/Student Reflection/Real-life connections:

How will students summarize and state the significance of what they learned?
Why will students be engaged?

Using the provided white boards, students will individually answer the question listed below. After 1 minute has
passed, I will have students show their answers by holding their boards up. The question will be written on the
board for modeling and students have been instructed to flip their boards over after they have written their
answers.
- What event do you believe had the most significant impact upon the axis and led to their loss of the war?
