"Harvest Help." Food Crises in Africa in the Last 30 Years. N.p., n.d. Web. 07 Apr. 2017.

Summary
The article is a summary of the numerous famines and food shortages in Africa, from
1983 to 2011.

Strengths
The article shows extensive detail for such short summaries, but accurately explains the
areas affected by each famine and how exactly they were affected. Hard numbers and dates were
used throughout the article, and also it explained how each crisis was solved (at least short-term),
usually by the local government asking for outside help.

Weaknesses
The article does not cite any sources, and is relatively short. Some crises are given more
attention than others, and not always for a clear reason. It is also not clear who wrote the article,
and their authority on the subject.

Relevance to Research Topic

While the article does give a lot of information in a short time, and shows numbers and
hard facts on the many famines that have happened in Africa, without any sources I can only use
the article sparingly, and not as my main source of information. It is useful for getting an
overlook of the famines of Africa in the last 30 years, but I would need to double check the facts
before writing anything from the site.
