Annotation:
Tourism Resources and Geography is a complex course unit of tourism studies characterized by interdisciplinary and integrated approach in tourism
research. The science of geography analysis those processes spatially, i.e. studies the changes in tourism resources, tourist flows, distribution patterns,
attractiveness factors of visited objects and locations, interaction between visitors and tourism environment in different geographical conditions. The
geography of tourism is studies at the local, regional and global levels; the typology of tourism regions is performed by resources and other natural, social
and economic conditions. Tourism development patterns, trends and factors are identified.
Aim of a Course Unit:
The aim of the Tourism Resources and Geography course unit is to provide the students with knowledge about the role of territorial resources for the
specialization of tourism activities, to introduce to them the natural and cultural tourism issues and challenges, visitor (tourist) distribution patterns and
differences.
Attendance requirements:
According to the requirements of the University Studies Regulation (Cl. 22.4.), attendance is compulsory.
