You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuacin ver imgenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un prrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el pas al

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand of
visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Times Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is

Saint Peter's Square, which is
located in front of St. Peters
Basilica, is one of the best
known squares in all of Italy and
is an important gathering place
for tourists visiting the sights of
Vatican City. From St. Peters
Square, visitors can also see the
Papal Apartments, which is not
only where the Pope lives but
also the perch from which the
pontiff often addresses crowds
of pilgrims.
The Sydney Opera House is a
multi-venue performing arts
centre in Sydney, Australia,
identified as one of the 20th
century's most modern buildings.
The scale of the shells was
chosen to reflect the internal
height requirements, with low
entrance spaces, rising over the
seating areas up to the high
stage towers. The building also
houses a recording studio,
cafes, restaurants, bars and
retail outlets.
Edinburgh Castle dominates the
city of Edinburgh in Scotland. It
is have over one thousand years
of history sit on top of the
famous Edinburgh rock, and
when you see Edinburgh Castle
you will understand why over a
million visitors a year visit
Edinburgh Castle.
Its importance as a part of
Scotland's national heritage was
recognised increasingly from the
early 19th century onwards, and
various restoration programmes
have been carried out over the
past century and a half.
 The Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper
located in Dubai, United Arab
Emirates. With 828 meters high,
is the tallest structure in which
on record in history.
The base of the building has a
core and three side sections
projecting from this. These wings
or side sections amount each at
a different height and make the
structure of the building will be
closer. The height at which
amounts each section of the
wings form a spiral staircase
towards the left, surrounding the
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) The Burj building and serves to counter
Khalifa strong winds and numerous
sandstorms in Dubai.
