Group Assignment

Assignment (Group)

Each group should consist of FIVE students (depend on class). The

group should meet regularly for discussion. Your group assignment
topic will be as listed below.

The group assignments will require a written report and oral

presentation. Every member of a group MUST participate in the oral
presentation. You should wear appropriate attire.

TOPIC

Referring to Manufacturing/Distributor/Retailing companies (Malaysia

only) of your choice, discuss the following parts as you conduct your
research. You are required to conduct an interview session with the
company of your choice to gather all the information needed.
The following headings are indicative of what should be included:

a) Company background
b) Vision and Mission Statement
c) Company Business Process/Organizations Chart
d) Logistics and Supply Chain Management process:
i Sales/Demand Planning
ii Procurement Planning
iii Manufacturing Planning
iv Distribution Planning
e) Recommendation/Conclusion

Requirement

1. Prepare a write-up report/findings of your research and submit on

presentation week.
2. You need to present your report afterwards.
3. Assignments must have a cover sheet, which should include a
title, the course name and number, student name and ID number
of each member of the group.
4. Use size 11 font, Arial style and one and half spacing between
the lines; use the same format (font and layout) throughout the
whole assignment. Make sure to justify your typing.
5. Use main headings and sub-headings to help structure your
assignment into
sections.
6. Number the pages of the assignment.
7. Reference all ideas, quotes and information, which you use from
books, articles and the Internet in the APA format; include a
reference list at the end of the report.
8. The assignment write up 30% and presentation 10% of the
course grade.
