n.d. Web. 10 Feb. 2017.

This essay is a good source for this topic because the teen gives eye opening comparisons

between gay-marriage, and straight marriage. When reading her essay, she makes you look

at it from a different perspective and she shows how hypocritical it can be to discriminate

against gay couples but support straight couples, because ultimately, they are the same.

The teen even goes as far as connecting the topic to bullying, and speaking on how our

country is supposed to be anti-bullying. A statement in her essay that stood out to me was,
Moreover, the First Amendment protects us from the government which is basically allowing

us to express our thoughts and feelings. Well last time I checked, love is a feeling. It doesnt

matter who you feel it with, as long as youre happy. It made me realize how sad it is that a

country can discriminate you just because of who your heart tells you the love.
