(C). Demonstrate their knowledge of rhythm by recalling one rhythm we learned in class

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - What are the safety concerns? What is unique about the
students in this class?
1. The students probably dont know what rhythm means.
2. There are 3 students with autism so I need to make sure to keep an eye on
them at all times.
3. The teacher must make sure that the students dont hit each other with
their rhythm sticks.

students to keep their
personal space and to
watch out for the
students around them.
Tell students that they
cannot hit each other
with their sticks.
Informing: I will explain
to the students what
rhythm is. I will tell
them that the beat of the
song is the rhythm. They
will be making the
rhythm with the rhythm
sticks. Also, before each
activity I will explain
what rhythm they will
have to make. I will tell
them to follow my lead.

students that they need
to follow my lead to
make a rhythm. I will
tell them the first
rhythm that we will be
learning (skill cues): 1
beat with the left, then
two beats with the right
and continue that
rhythm for a while.
Another rhythm I will
have the students do will
be to do beats with the
right then two beats
with the left.
Extension #1: I will
make the kids do the
rhythm faster.
Extension #2:I will have
the students tap the feet
to the beat.

the kids do the rhythm
slower.
