thatwebsitemaypossiblybeconsideredsomethingelse.

IhavebeenusingHTTrackforabouttwoyears.Ifyouwanttodownloadamirrorimageofawebsite,itworkswell.Ifyouwanttopickandchoosewhatto
downloadbeyondthat,suchasonlyonepageoflinkswithinthatsite,itcreatesamess.

UsuallyIstartwithonlyonepageofagivenwebsite,andtrytodownloadeverythingonthatonepage,havingnousefortheotherpages.IinputthespecificURL
butHTTrackinsistsondownloadingtheentirerootaswell.

Moreover,ifIwanttoexcludecertainfiletypes,Imustinputthemonebyone,butifIwanttoincludethosefiletypes,Icanchoosethemallwithjustafewclicks.
Consequently,ifIwanttodownloadonlythetextfiles,orhtml,orPDFsfromasite,itisalongerprocess,asIhavetomanuallyexcludeeveryotherfiletype
knowntoman.

Thereisalsosomeconfusionabouthowdeeplytogofordownloadinglinksonthepageinquestion:Doesitdownloadonlylinkedfilesordoesitdownloadthefiles

InallfairnessImustsaythatImayhavesimplyoverlookedallthefeaturesthatIneededorelsemissedtheminthemanual.

Allinall,theprogrammerhasbeenverygeneroustodonatehisworktotheworld,eventhoughitmaynotbeusefultomeinparticular,soforthathemustbe
commended.

itcanbeconfiguredjustlikeHTTrackandisprettyfastwithlesserrors.OneproblemthatIfacedHTTrackwaswhileviewingdownloadedfileswhenyouhavean

updatingasitdidoriginallywhilstdownloading.

SuddenlyIthoughtofFDM(Freedownloadmanager).
Aswellashandlingnormaldownloadsandtorrents,italsofeaturessiteripping(HTMLspider).
