Main Lesson Aims (Concepts, Procedures, & Processes):
- Students will able to practice listening to and understanding the numbers 0
15, and the new number 16.
- Students will able to practice using the numbers 016 when speaking.
- Students will able to practice reading the written form of the numbers 016.

Possible Problems and Misconceptions:
- Students cant count the numbers from 0 to 16 correctly
- Students cant write sixteen correctly
Solutions:
- Let the students count the numbers from 0 to 16 more than one time to save it
- Broke the word sixteen to two words six- teen and let the students write it

Lesson Schedule
Targeted teacher language: Good morning boys, how are you? , thank you, I will give
each student a number , you will stand in the order of the number that you have, zero,
one , two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen,
fourteen, fifteen, I will give each group apples puzzle, I show a video about the lesson,
the lesson about number sixteen, I will give you worksheet and you should listen, how
many hair that the boy have now, count the apples in the tree and write the number
Student language: Good morning MS, Im fine, thank you, zero, one , two, three, four,
five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, the new
number is sixteen, I have five apples
Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:
- I will show a video about numbers 1-20 from
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0Ajq682yrA
- I will give each student a number from 0 to 17 because that is the
number of the students in the class. Then, I will call the number of the
students in order. For example, number zero with whom? Ahmed came
here; the next number is number one. Who has number one? Saeed 15 minute
has it, come Saeed. After finishing ordering the students from zero
to seventeen. I will hold the first student who has number zero and
says zero repeat with me zero, and keeps going like that. I will say
the number from 0 to 15 and then stop. After that, I will let the
students go to their places.
- I will show flash cards for them. The flash cards have the words
number like fifteen, I will read the number and show the number to
them. Also, I will let them repeat the number with me.
Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures):
- Game: I will give each group an apple puzzle. These puzzles are 4
apples for each group. Each apple is half with a number and the other
half with the number of seeds. Students should match the number
with the number of the seeds. This will have also a 16 seeds to let the
students discover what the new number.
- I will show PowerPoint has the number sixteen, 16 and explain it to the
students. I will show 16 balls and ask the students to count it. 25 minute
- Listening activity:
- Pre - listening: I will give each student a worksheet. This
worksheet has a boy without hair. I will read a little story to
let the students draw the boys hair. I will tell the students
that they need to listen to my short story and they will draw
the number of the boy hairs.
- While - listening: Firstly, I will say The boy has five hairs,
and then the students will draw a - five. After that, I will say
The boy has more five hairs, and then they will draw
another five hairs. Finally, I will say finally, the boy has 11
hair, how many hairs that the boy need to get 16 hairs?, then
they will count to 16 to get the answer five hairs. After that,
I will ask them to color the number 16 and sixteen in the
worksheet.
- Post - listening: I will check the students answers and help
them if they need help and then I will check the answers with
the students by write the answer in the board.

- Speaking activity: I will give each student a small card. This


card has a tree and I ask them to draw a number of apples.
Each student has a different number. After that, I will ask
them to speak about how many apples that they draw. They
will tell me I drew five apples in the tree, I will ask all
students how many apples that you drew?

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment):


- I will do the activity in the learner book page 132 and see if the 10 minute
students understand the lesson or not.
- I will do the activity in the activity book page 129
