Proclamation No. 2152 (Declaring the entire Province of Palawan
and certain Parcels of the Public Domain and/or parts of the country as
Mangrove Swamp forest Reserves.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY

The Province of Palawan has been declared as mangrove swamp
forest reserve since 29 December 1981 through PP 2152. The City
Government of Puerto Princesa declared that all mangrove areas in
Puerto Princesa are part of the mangrove swamp Forest Reserves
and prohibits any conversion into other land uses. PCSD Admin
Order No. 11 governs the conservation and protection of existing
mangrove areas in the Province of Palawan.
These regulation governed prohibitions from further exploitation
and/or destruction of the remaining mangrove resources specifically
the entire province of Palawan. Section 8 of the latter Admin Order,
prohibits illegal girdling, burning or possession of any mangrove
species or any part thereof.
