JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT


LIAISON OFFICER

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political and non-governmental


humanitarian organisation. The current mission is made up of programmes in the far south of
Bogale /Pyapon Township.

Liaison Officer

Approximate starting date : As soon as possible

Responsibilities:

 To oversee and ensure the obtaining of approval of important documents, including the Letter
of Agreement with the Social Welfare Ministry, issuance and renewal of entry and multi-re-
entry visas, stay permits, travels approvals/clearance, bank withdrawal letters and any and all
related documentation required for the continuous operations of Solidarites,
 To work with the Country Director to establish a network within government Ministries to work
towards a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for project activities outside the delta.
 To ensure the necessary arrangements and coordination to facilitate the staff movements
 To assist the Administrative Coordinator in the expatriates folders management
 To assist the Capital Admin Assistant when needed and available
 To ensure communication about expatriates movements for departures, break and arrival with
operational bases through the Field Coordinator and the Base Administrator
 To represent Solidarites towards local authorities, especially MSW and MOFA
 To contribute to translation of legal documents as well as internal Solidarites documents
 To support in organising trainings for national staff and expatriates

The above list is non exhaustive, neither limitative, you could be asked within the
framework of your job to do other tasks on the express demand of the Administrative
Coordinator or Country Director

I. Requirements
 Bachelor or Masters Degree (preferably in International relations, Public relations, Diplomatic
career, Public Administration or related area). Or related proven experience in similar area.
 Fluent spoken and written English and Myanmar
 Good writing and communication skills
 Flexible, reactive, trustful and calm under pressure
 Able to develop good relationship with the authorities (bank, government, township peace and
development council officers, military authorities, etc)
 Knowledge of MS office (excel, word, power point)
 2 to 5 years previous experience in an NGO or international Institution.
 Ability to work under stressful conditions

and the experience of the selected candidate.
