Dr. Jennifer Etnier,

As an honor student attending Johnson C. Smith University, receiving my Bachelors of Science in Sport
Management with a minor in Psychology. I am hereby writing this letter of intent to obtain admission into
the University of North Carolina at Greensboro's graduate Sport psychology program. As a student who
has gained much experience as an undergraduate, some of my skills include working effectively with
others, communicating with others, having an outgoing personality and managing my time effectively.
After doing research, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro has caught my interest in persuing
education on the graduate school level. After doing further research it became clear that this honorable
university ranks number 14 out of 21 other university in the United states.
Abilities that I can contribute to this program include my eagerness to learn, my gifted sense of work
ethics and being highly motivated. Unlike many, constructive criticism helps me understand things
effectively and also learn from past mistakes. As a hard-working student, I enjoy working closely with
faculty, and take full responsibility for any help that is needed making me a good fit to the program.
After receiving my Masters of Science in Sport Psychology and Doctrine, I plan on opening my own
practice in partnership with a professional sports team. As a Sport Psychologist, my goals include helping
players at a professional level reach their optimal performance after injuries that have put their
professional careers in jeopardy. I hope to hear back from you soon, and become a future graduate student
of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Thank you,

Mariah Collins
