PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Developed curriculum and coordinated communicative lessons for level 3 French students in a
comprehensive high school. Continuing to prepare students in a rigorous program which feeds
into a fourth year of French. Co-teaching an AP/International Baccalaureate French class.
Integrating best practices to maintain communication with students, colleagues and the parent
community.

Led classroom instruction for Level 1 high school students who had experienced a 5-week
interruption in their learning. Developed lessons with new curriculum and helped establish a
cooperative classroom environment. Contributed to World Language department meetings to
maximize student transitions. Also assisted in level 2 level 5 AP classes in a separate district.

Designed curriculum and led instruction for Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth grade
students in a French immersion setting. Created workshops for differentiated learning based on
needs of new immersion students and native speakers. Lessons relied on cooperative learning
with students working in collaborative groups or pairs.
Incorporated technology based lessons with iPads using Bookcreator, Notability, Explain
Everything, Puppet Pals, Comic Life and archiving with Box. Utilized assessment and instruction
tools such as Atlas curriculum mapping to identify standards-based learning.
Maintained communication with parents and students via class pages on school website to
review lesson resources, online portfolios, field-trip photos, semester plans and provide
updates and newsletters.
Employed classroom management and self-regulation strategies to maintain an orderly and
respectful learning environment.
Provided daily correspondence with parents, administrators, psychologists and learning
specialists to supervise each childs academic and social progress.
Evaluated students through multiple methods, such as group projects, creative writing,
summative work stations and student led presentations.
Coordinated and supervised overnight curriculum based trips to enrich student life and build
classroom unity. Trips varied in length from four to five days. Planned events and field trips which
favored parent-involvement and inclusion.
