Dear members of the SDG16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

It isagain a pleasure to welcome you as a Speaker and/or Moderator at the


Sustainable Development Goals conference taking place on Tuesday 29 th and
Wednesday 30th November at the University of Sydney Business School, Sydney. I
am one of the co-organisers of the event.

Please read your speaker/moderator briefings (attached) to provide guidance on the


session as well as the background note on the sustainable development goals
including the agreed international targets. This will help you to prepare for your
sessions.

There will be a final email sent out confirming the final speakers, commentators and
moderators and any fine tuning of instructions for the sessions.We are in the
process of developing a conference app and will provide details shortly.

In summary, for this session we are asking all speakers to prepare a talk between 5-
7min on your area of expertise reflecting on the topic, include examples and case
studies of where Australia is doing well, and where we can improve and a
suggestion for critical priorities over the next 5 years if we are to be in the top 10 of
the SDG Index. Commentators will also be given an opportunity to speak on their
reflections.

Your session of the SDG conference will take place on Tuesday


29th November at 3.30pm.

We encourage you to create interest around your presentation by tweeting prior to
the Event. We will include your twitter handle in our app and promotional material.

RECORDING OF THE EVENT:


This event will be Audio & Video recorded. Should you not wish to be recorded
please complete the T&C section of the attached speaker form.

SPEAKER REQUIREMENTS:
To ensure your requirements are met on the day, could you please take a note of
your session times and be available at the required place at least half an hour
before the session starts so you can familiarise yourself with the room set up and
audio visual equipment if needed. You are of course welcome to attend for the
whole conference and we will take care of your registration details. There will be
volunteers to help guide you to your rooms on the day. There will also be some
limited parking available. Please let me know if you need access to the parking and
we will organise that for you.

PRESENTATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY 25 NOVEMBER


If you are planning to use slide show presentations at the conference, please submit
the slides to me before the event and by Friday 25 November. This will then be pre-
loaded on the conference laptop ready for your presentation on the day. All
presentations will need to be in widescreen 16:9 format.

ONSITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:


There will be dedicated AV technicians in the conference room should you require
any assistance with the audio/visual equipment. Should you wish to familiarise
yourself with the layout of the room/equipment we ask that you do this in the break
prior to your session.

REGISTRATION
At the event we will have a dedicated Speaker registration area so please go there
and you will be looked after by one of our volunteers and event organisers.

CATERING
Morning Tea, Lunch & Afternoon Tea will be provided at the event. If you have any
special dietary requirements, please inform us so we can make the necessary
arrangements with the venue. Requests made on the day cannot be guaranteed
and are subject to venue availability.
