Observation Task 4
Choose, justify and reflect on the selection of appropriate routines and explain practical aspects of their
implementation.
Routines are very important because they impact the classroom environment.
When students know what is expected of them in the classroom that helps to
have a smooth transitions. Also routines allow students to quickly complete their
daily tasks that are required of both the teacher and students. Thats help
children to learn greater responsibility and more self-management skills.
Moreover, routines limit the amount of time children spend waiting and save the
valuable classroom time. For example, if the routine was the students start to
clean when they hear the cleaning song. Thats save the time, better than calling
students name one by one to tell them to clean their place. Students move
through many activities during the school day, so with predictable routines in
place, students can move smoothly from one activity to the next without losing
learning time.
