Thestepsoutlinedinthistutorialdescribetheprocedureusedtoautomaticallycreateanunstructured
blockthatcontainsanisotropictetrahedra.Currently,theanisotropicmesherTRexisonlyavailablein
Gridgen.However,usingtheautotrex.glfscript,Pointwisecanbeuseduptothepointofblock
initialization.

Noticethatthisfilecontainsbothdatabaseandgridelements.Therefore,whenexporting,Pointwise
shouldexportbotha.dbaand.ggfile.Alsonotethatablockhasalreadybeencreatedbutnotinitialized,
thatwillbeleftuptothescripttotakecareofautomatically.

Thenextstepistocolorthedomainsappropriatelydependingonwhethertheyareeithersymmetryor
noextrusiondomains.Symmetrydomainsmustbecoloredred(RGB255,0,0)andnoextrusiondomains
mustbecoloredblue(RGB0,0,255).Allotherdomainsareconsideredextrusiondomainsandmustnot
beredorblue.

ClickExporttoGridgenintheFilemenutoexportthe.dbaand.ggfiles

Afterthefileshavebeenexported,theyneedtobeplacedinthedirectorycontainingtheautotrex.glfand
params.datfiles(seefollowingfigure).

Thenextstepistoinputtherequiredinformationintotheparams.datfile.Theparams.datfilecontains
fileinformation,boundarylayerparameters,severaladvancedsolversettings,andmeshchecking
parameters.Allofthisinformationisreadandcheckedbyautotrex.glfuponexecution.

Openparams.datandfillitoutwiththecorrectfileinformation.Theotherparameterscanbeleft
attheirdefaultvalueforthistutorial,buttakesometimetolookatalltheparametersavailablein
theinputfile(seefollowingfigure).
Saveparams.dat
Oncetheinputfilehasbeenfilledoutcorrectlyandallthefilesareinthesamedirectory,theautotrex.glf
scriptcanbeexecuted.Todothis,Gridgenneedstobeexecutedinbatchmodewhilereadingtheglyph
script.FormoreinformationonexecutingGridgeninbatchmode,seetheREADME.txtdocument.

ExecuteGridgenandautotrex.glfinbatchmode(e.g.gridgenbautotrex.glf)

Asthescriptisrunning,someinformationshouldbeprintingoutinthecommandwindowlettingthe
userknowtheprogressoftheoperation.Whenthescripthasfinishedrunning,thecommandwindow
shouldhavesomediagnosticsinformationpresentedinthreetables(seefollowingfigure).

Also,anewfileshouldbepresentinthedirectorycontainingtheparams.dat,autotrex.glf,andthe.dba
and.ggfiles.Thenameofthenewgridfileshouldbethesameastheoriginalgridfilenameappeneded
withANISO(seefollowingfigure).

NowthefinalanisotropicblockcanbeexaminedinPointwise(seefollowingfigures).
