Thesis statement: Students in the career of technical Degree in English can learn
good-standard English to strengthen the language skills, to travel abroad, to get a
job, in order to succeed in life (personally and professionally).

 Technical English is based on the type of vocabulary you are going to
handle and the purpose for which you are going to study English. The technical
English is specific, which seeks to understand technical texts or speaking. And
Students in the career of Technical Degree in English can learn good-standard
English to strengthen the language skills, to travel abroad, to get a job, in order to
succeed in life (personally and professionally).

Language is generally taught and assessed in four language skills and all
language learners will need to strengthen language skills and to develop their sills
in each of these areas; and language classes incorporate activities related to all
skills. Listening to reading contents in the language that you are learning is a great
way to develop vocabulary and comprehension. It is important to make listening
and reading actively rather than absorbing the content. For example, someone
can choose listening materials like videos, films, music, news article, etc.
Developing speaking skills will involve gaining fluency in spoken interactions with
others, as well as practicing the pronunciation; and to practice pronunciation try
reading aloud after a recorded text, or speak to people, with classmates or
language partners in online exchange. A good writing skill allow you to
communicate your message with clarity and ease to readers. It helps to write a
report, plan or communicate our ideas online via a blog, etc. A correct grammar,
punctuation and spelling are key for writing. The reader will form an opinion about
the author or writer, based on both the content and presentation. And to improve
writing skill is reading an article or a book then pick up new vocabulary and engage
with different writing styles. Finally, improving reading skill reduce unnecessary
reading time and enable people to read more focused and selective manner. It
also helps to increase the comprehension and concentration. In order to improve
reading skills, we need to have clear reading goals, choose the right texts, use the
right reading style, and use note taking techniques. We can read a novel,
magazine, a newspaper article, a short story, comic books, etc. like instruments to
gain reading. All these language skills are important for language learners if they
want to get better their comprehension and have accuracy in the language, the
learner must get practicing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
 On the other hand, learning English can help people to travel abroad more
easily because in many countries, English is the international language. When
people travel abroad they will be able to quickly and easily make reservations,
ordering food, and booking accommodation; and when people are checking in their
ticket at an airport, they can easily clarify them. Visiting foreign countries can also
help people to learn about cultures, to socialize with the locals in a tour destination,
and learn about their lifestyle and their customs. It enhances confidence that helps
people to make new friends and ask them for recommendation and suggestion to
avoid dangerous places. When you travel to another country, you can practice the
language through communicating with people. Like when you are at an airport or
in an airplane you can interact with other travelers or share experiences about the
trip with foreign friends. It also helps people to learn new words or phrases and
expressions from different places and countries.

This is another advantage about learning English, you can travel abroad to many
countries you want and you will have no problems to make reservations in a hotel
and checking ticket at an airport, and you can communicate with people around the
world and learn a lot of different cultures.

Furthermore, studying English helps people to have more opportunities to

get a job at private business and companies. Job opportunities will multiply as the
people master the language. No matter the work field, English language will
contribute to people the benefits when to promote or to access to another work
positions. Nationally, there are a lot of national business and companies that need
bilingual people to help foreign people in a country. For example, an embassy,
there is a need of translators or people that can speak more than one language to
help foreign people; or Migration that needs bilingual employees to help foreign
people that live in this country. Or at a bank needs bilingual people to help foreign
clients, at a hotel or inn to attend foreign peoples calls when they make
reservation and order food at a restaurant. Also, many countries have tourist
guides who guide foreign visitors and interpret the cultural and natural heritage of
an area. Internationally, there are many business and companies which involve
cross-border transactions of goods, services, resources between two or more
nations, and they need people who speak more than one language. Also, learning
English helps people to find job in another country or at many international
business and companies that need bilingual people to take work trip or translating.
For example, a call center needs people who can speak English and attend clients
calls, an online business or websites the people communicate with clients of
different countries about the goods, at an international bank or when the people
want to have their own business or company, the people need to know English
language if they want to raise their business and expand sales and services to
another country.

It is important to learn English because of business agreements, and import and

export flow, which make that English became a vehicular language to help the
business growth, and bilingual people have more opportunities to find a job a
national or international business of company.

In conclusion, as the most spoken language in the world, English holds a

huge part in the communication. Studying English helps people to strengthen the
language skills through practicing the language with different methods of learning,
and it also helps people easier to travel abroad and also more opportunities to get
a job in another country.
