Analysis of the research

In many occasions, we see that developed countries are more urbanized. This happens

due to a number of reasons. One main reason is that developed countries have high employment

opportunities because many industries exist and these industries need human power. This will in

turn lead to an increased GDP of that particular country. In this analysis, I will analyze the

relationship between the urbanization and growth of different countries in the developed,

developing and underdeveloped countries.

The percentage of the people living in a particular country especially in the urban areas is

highly linked with their high population growth (Thomas, 2015, p.78). There exists a relationship

between urbanization and population especially in rapidly developing countries, developed and

underdeveloped. This can be explained clearly by the fact that that when there is development

especially in the agricultural sector will lead to urbanization. Industries that mainly deal with

production and provision of services can be of great benefit when it is concentrated in the cities

because in these cities are densely populated.

In the past years major cities have be viewed as active agents in the countrys

development rate. However, in the previous years it has been brought forward that urbanization

cannot sometimes occur in absence of economic growth. Countries like Ghana in Africa, Japan,

Hungary, and Norway, Argentina, Georgia and even Kyrgyz Republic urbanized in the years

between 1995 and 2015

There is an agreement that most developed cities offer a wide range of benefits that in

turn boosts economic growth ($ 9,000 per capita). According to my research, this is because in

urban areas these benefits may vary between self-employed workers, casual workers, households

giving a few examples. This is because these populations generally contribute to an increase in

GDP that generally encourages urbanization (Polmateer, 2013 p.104). Urban areas are of great

benefit because they can generate economic costs. The issues of population may bring about

many related problems. This problem may include the rural to urban migration and this has been

experienced in a number of countries like Ghana, Japan, Hungary, and Norway. This happens

because people may move to the urban centers to seek for employment opportunities, and this

encourages urbanization.

When we look at the graphs that I have been drawn, it clearly indicates that population

growth is one of the main strategies towards Urbanization. Many development organization and

national governments have gone back to the drawing board and they have put forward various

strategies to accelerate urbanization that will in turn lead to economic growth. These will in turn

attract people to the cities and this will boost urban population (Williams, 2014, p.57)

Investigators in countries like japan and Norway have studied global population data

related to urbanization between 1995 and 2015. They concluded that the percentage of the global

population of the people living in cities grew from 38% in the year 1995 to approximately 51%

in 2015.

The main features in this research include understanding the extent in which development

should be enhanced in major cities, and it is of great importance to understand the effects of

increased rural to urban migration. Many measures have to be taken into account by both the

national governments and the development organization in order to curb these problems. These

measures include putting into action measures that support commerce an investing in the

infrastructure.
