The Hotline is intended expressly to help you get your kit
running and is not intended to assist you in circuit designs
or applications. If a problem cannot be remedied over the
telephone, you may return your assembled kit to MIDAS for
repair. Also, either a purchase order number for repairs must
be furnished to the MIDAS or a money order(no personal checks
please) must be included with the kit being returned.
Repairs resulting from defective components supplied with
your kit will be done at no charge, all repayments will be
refunds. Repairs necessitated as a result of customer error,
damage or misuse will be billed at a fixed, flat-rate charge
which will be quoted by the MIDAS.
NOTE
The MIDAS will not repair an MDA-DSP Kit that has been
modified and when circuity has been added to user design area,
may request that circuity be disconnected prior to submitting
the kit to the MIDAS for repair.

1.Introduction
The MDA-DSP kit is shown in Figure 1-1 contains all the
basic components necessary to understand TMS320C50
fixed-point DSP.

1. Instruction
Turn your MDA-DSP kit power on. The LCD display the
following message.

Note that the registers are now set to their default power on
value as defined by the WinIDE DSP.
Key Function
Ctrl+N Create new file.
Ctrl+O Open an existing file.
Ctrl+S Save current document.
Ctrl+W Save as current document.
Ctrl+Q Exit program.
Ctrl+Z Undo last operation.
Ctrl+X Cut selected text to the clipboard.
Ctrl+C Copy selected text to the clipboard.
Ctrl+V Paste text from the clipboard.
Ctrl+F Find text.
Ctrl+A Select all text.
F3 Start assembling and linking.
F4 Start compiling and linking.
Ctrl+D The hexa file is downloaded to MDA-DSP.

located to the right-upper part of the MDA-DSP kit.

DA The DA key allows you to enter the data in the program, block
memory or external memory.
STP The STP key is used to execute a line on time of the your's
program.
