Chico Community
Dear Friend,

The Salvation Army is more than just a thrift store and a red kettle - it is a truly
holistic ministry of speaking Gods word, reaching out to those who are hurting
and providing services to those who are in need in this community.

Our mission is to not only meet the very real immediate needs that exist in Chico,
but also to provide opportunites for restoration and recovery. Alongside our
esteemed Advisory Board Members, generous donors and volunteers, we are
able to provide hope to men and women overcoming serious life issues. To fulfill
our mission, we offer the Adult Rehabilitation Program, the Transitional Living
Program, worship services, youth and adult ministries, programs for food, utility
and emergency assistance, and community outreach throughout Chico.

Will you join us? In order to continue and expand programs that lift people

The Salvation Army has served the North Valley for over 100 years, providing hope, encouragement and
comfort to those in need. During that time, hundreds of thousands of people have benefited from our
spiritual ministries and social service assistance programs.

And for that, we thank you. It is only with the ongoing support of community-minded individuals that
we can continue to help so many achieve an independent and fulfilling life.
THE BOARD MEMBER EXPERIENCE

I am constantly amazed at the amount of services being provided by The Salvation Army for
those in need right here in our community; equally amazing is the community support
through volunteer activities and financial donations. Yet, there is still much to be done.
Please consider what you can do to help.
