Project Title Final Major Project
Section 1: Review (Approx 150 words)
Over the duration of this course I feel I have improved certain aspects of my traditional
media skills, whilst maintaining the standard of my digital work. Because of this im
interested in improving these skills further by doing more artist research and build up to
my final piece with physical media trials using a range of techniques, opposed to solely
using digital methods. Im aiming to achieve this by using stencils, experimenting with
fabrics, iron on material, paints and dyes, different to the previous projects I have created
where designs and final products have only been concepts and creations produced
digitally. This is all in aid of creating a final piece different to what ive achieved
previously, fit to be physically sold by a brand or company.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 250 words)

With an interest in animals Id like to explore their natural shape and design, as well as
pattern and texture. My project should result in well finished and precise outcome,
showing my thought process and development along the way. I feel I can achieve this by
ensuring I record and review each stage I complete.

The Artists and Designers I plan to take inspiration from include Noma Bar, Dan Fleming
and websites such as www.logodesign.co.uk.

After researching artists and designers that create information graphics and logo design, I
will begin my own development by creating concept designs. I will be creating all of my
products under the company name True or False which I have self created. This will
involve designing and using stencils as a starting point.

If I look on to create products such as fashion garments, or follow the theme of my paper
chase project by creating stationary products I would like to experiment with making these
come to life by using things such as fabric, iron on vinyl, fabric dyes and more physical
techniques.

After this Ill potentially be looking into transferring my designs into photoshop to
manipulate them digitally, or use a vector capture app in order to turn my stencils into
vectorised images, this will allow me to recreate them and manipulate the designs to my
final desired style. Here I may also apply my designs to other products.

Section 3: Evaluation (approx 100 words)

I will evaluate the progress I have made this year, using annotation to support the flow of
my work, reviewing and analysing as I go, informing the parts of my project that follow.
Keeping myself on track I will make a structured guideline to divide the time I have across
the project, ensuring each task is complete. This will mean I have something to follow to
make sure I dont stray from what I need to get done, evaluating my progress at the end
with a final review.
