Today
Ive always wanted a kite. Last weekend, my mum bought some strong
paper, some wood, some string and some glue and we made an amazing
kite. We cut two pieces of wood and we used string and glue to join them
together. Then I painted a big lions face on the paper. We used glue to
stick the paper onto the wood. Then I tied a long piece of string to the kite.
At last, my kite was ready. It looked really cool! Ive flown my kite in the
park every day this week. Its been great fun!

Family meals
Its important to eat healthy food and its important to get together as a
family. If you have a family meal every day, youll have the chance to do
both of these things. Family meals help children to have a healthy diet. If
children eat with their families, they will usually eat more fruit, vegetables
and grains, and they will eat less junk food as snacks between meals.
Families can get together for a meal in a restaurant or have a home-made
meal. Its the perfect time to talk about your lives and enjoy great food!

Your heart
Your heart is in the middle of your chest. It makes the rest of your body
work. Your heart is like a pump. You can feel and hear your heart pumping
in your chest. The pumping movement is called a heartbeat. When you
are resting, you have about 70 to 100 heartbeats every minute. When you
are exercising, you have more heartbeats, because your body needs more
oxygen and your heart has to work faster. Your heart is working all day
and all night, all the time, so be kind to it. Eat healthily and exercise to
keep your heart strong.

The pyramids
The pyramids in Egypt are thousands of years old. The Ancient Egyptians
buried important people like pharaohs in pyramids when they died. They
used large stone blocks to build the pyramids. It took a long time to build
a pyramid, because the blocks were very heavy. The walls of the pyramids
are slanted, so people can climb up the blocks like steps. Inside the
pyramids there are paintings, pots and statues. The Ancient Egyptians put
these things inside the pyramids because they wanted their pharaohs to
have everything they needed in their next life.
