The performance of a controller for electric motor driven fire pumps shall
be investigated by subjecting representative samples in commercial form
to the tests. Consideration shall be given to the individual component
ratings within the controller, as compared to the overall controller ratings, SAES-P-116

similarity of the individual components used in a manufacturers line of Sec. 3.2
controllers, and other criteria in determining samples for testing
representative samples of a manufacturers line of similarly constructed
controllers. (UL 218, Annexed D)

Stopping the fire pump motor by the controller shall be accomplished by


manual operation of a stop pushbutton on the outside of the controller

C. TEST EQUIPMENT

Test for Low Resistance shall be performed using the following:
