MAY 2016 - PRESENT
Help patrons with technical issues related to the use of computers as they arise. Analyze whether it is a
technical issue or an end user issue. Resolve issue quickly with student so they can leave with their
project or report in hand. Students have different levels of understanding of the computer and copier
usage, so understanding and being a helpful lab assistant is fundamental.
Students become frustrated when they run into technical difficulties and/or have problems with printing.
Being patient and understanding the task at hand is crucial in preventing a crisis. At the same time, there
are limited computers available, so moving students effectively in and out of the lab is essential.
CERRITOS COLLEGE LIBRARY, NORWALK, CA LIBRARY REFERENCE AIDE
JANUARY 2017 - PRESENT
Help students find the necessary library resources they might need.
Utilize the Library of Congress Classification System to access, organize, and look up for books that are
available in our library. Tasks include shelving books according to their call number, checking books out
for students to use, organizing resources that might be out of order, and answering questions related to
textbooks and/or library issues.
