George: Hey fellas, thanks for coming!

Im so glad to be here in uhh. where the hell are we? Somewhere in the South Pacific I
guess, talk about the boondocks. Anyway its great speaking to all you brave souls
keeping us safe from the Japanese. Im willing to bet it gets tiring fighting Americas
enemies, defending your families, braving Kamikaze and Banzai attacks, and to top it all
off, not a broad for miles! Well, were the USO and were here to spice up your dreary
military life with a fantastic show!

Melina: Well fellas here comes your favorite Funnyman and hes here to get a laugh outta
you! Introducing, the man, myth, the broadway legend, the cook, the conductor, the
comedian, the one and only...Daaaaannny Kaye!

Performance

George: That was good, but tell me honestly baby doll, is he is really any funnier than
me?
Melina: Oh loosen up.
George: I bet his plane doesnt even have a bar. Or any girls.
Melina: Bob.(shaking head)
George: Anyway, next we welcome Humphrey Bogart, a former member of the Navy,
and Ingrid Bergman, who was nominated for an Academy award for best actress this year,
who will be performing a scene from their new picture: Casablanca, a story of love and
war.

Performance

George: (Sniffing) Oh no matter how many times I see that movie it always brings a
tear to my eye.
Melina: Mine-mine too! (Bawling)
George: (Crying harder) And now, introducing a live per-introducing-ohh I simply
cant go on! (Collapses into tears)

Melina: (Having calmed down). Oh give me that! (Grabs paper).And now introducing a
live performance of Walt Disneys Pinocchio! Released a few years ago, it is an amazing
Walt Disney Animation, a metaphor for the choice Americans had to make between
winning this war and their own happiness! We expect great things from that man later to
come.

Melina: How clever!

George: Incredible. Coming up next are two singers that have been all the buzz lately,
Lena Horne and Frances Langford! Lena Horne is a triple threat known for her jazzy pop
songs and her appearances in several movies, including Stormy Weather. Frances
Langford got her start on the radio, and is known for her romantic song Im In the
Mood for Love. She has also appeared on the silver screen in movies such as Broadway
Melody of 1936 and Yankee Doodle Dandy. She is now a regular performer at military
entertainment shows, and loves supporting the brave troops! Now, in order to get you all
in the mood, these ladies are going to sing In the Mood, a song by Glenn Miller, Joe
Garland and Andy Razaf!
Melina: What voices!
George: And what lookers too!
Melina: Ech

Performance

Melina: What a treat weve got for you now. Two, beautiful, talented, lovely ladies will
be performing for you the Friendship Song. Please welcome Lucille Ball and Ethel
Merman!

Performance

Melina: Oh hilarious! And now, American troops put your sorry souls away and take out
your ginger smiles. Our favorite dame, Judy Garland is here to dazzle your hearts away.
Lock up your wartime worries for happiness is here to stay.
Melina: Lovely. What a voice!

Performance

George: Put your hands together for these three sisters who have been singing since
they were tiny tots. Born in MInnesota and America's favorite singing group. Patty the
youngest, who heads the group with her confident vocals , Maxene the middle sister with
an amazing melodic range, and LaVerne the eldest with a powerful alto harmony. Give it
up for the Andrews Sisters.

George: I bet youll have trouble naming a more iconic trio than those three.

George: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are a legendary duo who have appeared side by
side in a plethora of movies. Known for their sing and dance duets, the two have blessed
our screen in such movies as Swingtime and Shall we dance. Prepare to be entertained
with acting singing and dancing!

George: Say...that Rogers cookie...is she married?


Melina: Oh Bob stop being such a wolf!

Melina: Now we go to our good friends Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, these mortal
enemies are united here today to spread a good message, so listen up people!

Melina: Ive always loved those cartoons.

George: Now, introducing the men who have been in a collective 39 films, have had their
own TV shows, and have cracking jokes together since 1935. Through movies, radio, and
television, theses fellas have made a name for themselves in the world of comedy. This
dynamic duo is sure to delight! Please give a warm welcome to Abbott and Costello!

Performance

George: Thats funny stuff! Last but certainly not least, a dance from the Rockettes that
will knock your socks off! These lovely ladies will perform a dance to Grand Ol Flag
by George M. Cohan. Enjoy!
