The Weather Monster
By Gail Wanjiku
At some point, everyone has fears. You seem to live with them all your
life until finally you conquer them. Then your fear is just a mere memory.
I used to have a fear of the bad weather monster in my skies. It made
me have a fear of moving to another state.
Before I moved, I always checked the average weather conditions and
how many times a year they would happen.
I always hoped that Id move somewhere that weather was only
sunshine and spring, sometimes even fall. When it was time to go on a road
trip, I would always make an excuse to get out of it.
Finally, I decided to tell myself, Itll be okay. Now, I travel to new
states with no hassle.
