Subject:Regarding complaint of Sh. Naresh Kadyan."".".. .:...""

Sir,
With reference to your office letter No. F.9(9)/PCA/2016-17/2589 dated
10.03.17, on the subject cited above, enclosing the complaint of Sh. Naresh Kadyan stating
therein that one of his friend from USA stayed in the Claridges Hotel with his daughter
where she saw a Langur(Monkey) in bad condition, tied and hired by the said Hotel to keep
common monkey away from their premises. Further the complainant has sought fir against
the management of the Claridges Hotel alongwith the custodial of Langur etc.

In this regard it is stated that a similar complaint of the complainant has


already been received at PS Tughlak Road on 04.03.17 vide DD No. 12A and during
enquiry, got conducted through ACP/Chanakya Puri, it is revealed that on 04.03.17, enquiry
officer has visited the Hotel Claridges, 12, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi and
search for the allegedly tied Langur was made at the hotel premises but no Langur was
found there. During enquiry, Sh. Varun Devgan, Security Manager, Claridges Hotel stated
that their hotel neither hire any kind of service of Langur nor keep in the hotel. Further he
stated that they did not have any knowledge of such persons and service providers. Local
enquiry was also conducted but no such Langur or its handler was seen by anyone.

In view of the above no cognizable offence has been made out and the
allegations could not be substantiated. Hence, no further police action is required on the
present complaint at this stage.
