Our client is a privately-owned international industrial company with strong global

footprint. The company is headquartered in Western Europe and is present in over 30
countries across 5 continents.

In Romania, the company has well-established production and distribution operations,

employing almost 1500 people.

Role

The company is currently looking to recruit a senior executive as COO for the
Romanian operations. The role will be reporting to the CEO and will be based in
Central Romania where the companys main premises are located.

Generally, the COO will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the production
and logistics activities, including the internal organization process and production
infrastructure. Total headcount of the role will exceed 1000 people.

Main responsibilities:
In charge of the whole production process including production control and
quality, identifying and implementing procedures aimed at optimizing the
companys production system
Overseeing the well-functioning and efficiency of all technical machinery,
equipment, hardware, tools, and infrastructure
Identifying, implementing and coordinating the necessary investments to be
made by the company in respect with production operations
Assessing technology infrastructure, identifying and implementing upgrade
opportunities
Supervising regular maintenance and all processes related to the plants
refurbishment, including related new investments
Coordinating and optimizing procurement and logistic activities
Presenting timely reports to and serving in several Board Committees as
requested by the companys governing bodies

Profile

In respect of the candidate profile:

Fluent Romanian and English

University degree in the technical / engineering field
+10 years of experience in operational and technical management roles in the
industrial sector; exposure to managing operations of similar size
Very good business understanding; able to see the big picture and make
strategic decisions
