This coming March, 2017, the Faculty and Personnel Association will be conducting the
Search for Outstanding Teachers. This initiative supports the Civil Service Commissions
Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) aligned to DepED
CALABARZON and Division of Cavites mantra. This project will recognize exemplary
performance of teachers and Officers in Charge (OIC) of the school, motivate and inspire the
RNHS teachers to continue improve the quality of their performance towards excellence and
instill deeper commitment to public service.

Submission of entries will start on March 1, 2017 and announcement of the winners will be
on April 5, 2017 during the Annual Recognition day.

Attached herewith is the project proposal of the said program.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

TITLE: SEARCH FOR OUTSTANDING TEACHERS

OBJECTIVES:

1. To recognize exemplary performance of teachers of the school,


2. To motivate and inspire RNHS teachers to continue improve the quality of their
performance towards excellence and
3. To instill deeper commitment to public service.

AWARDS CATEGORY

1. Outstanding Teacher of the Year


2. Outstanding Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Year
3. Outstanding Teacher of Filipino Department
4. Outstanding Teacher of English Department
5. Outstanding Teacher of Math Department
6. Outstanding Teacher of Science Department
7. Outstanding Teacher of Araling Panlipunan Department
8. Outstanding Teacher in MAPEH Department
9. Outstanding Teacher in Technology and Livelihood Education Department
10. Outstanding Teacher in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. A model of morality and integrity both in public and private life


2. Has good human relations in the school and in the community
3. Currently working as teacher / OIC of the school who meets the selection criteria
regardless of his/her rank, subject area and grade level taught
4. Has been teaching in the public school at least for the last three (3) years
5. Performance Rating of at least Very Satisfactory (VS) for at last three (3) years
6. Active in the service for not less than five (5) years and must not be on leave at the
time of nomination
7. No pending administrative/civil/criminal case

DISQUALIFICATIONS:

1. Previous awardees of schools search for outstanding teacher and any district,
division, regional or national search for outstanding teacher or any similar search
2. Persons who have been suspended, reprimanded or with pending cases relative to
violation of any administrative policies, rules and regulations
3. Less than 80% rating of the submitted document
4. The date of previous appointment is less than three (3) years
5. Chairman and Members of the Selection Committee.

2. Nomination by immediate superior (for Outstanding OIC of the Year category)

a. P 5, 000.00 for the Outstanding Teacher of the Year
b. P 1, 000.00 for the Outstanding Teacher per Department
c. P 1, 000.00 for the Outstanding Officer in Charge (OIC)

MECHANICS:

1. The Faculty and Personnel Association (FPA) president, as chair shall organize a
selection committee consists of chair (the FPA President), 3 head teachers, principal
and officers of FPA for the outstanding teacher of the year and outstanding teachers
per department category.
2. The selection committee for the Outstanding OIC of the Year category is composed
of the FPA president (the chair), 3 head teachers and the principal of the school.
3. The 8 winners of the outstanding teacher per department category will compete for
the Outstanding Teacher of the Year category.
4. In case that there is no nominee or winner for the outstanding teacher per
department category in a department, the OIC or the Head Teacher of the specific
department may propose to the selection committee the nominee for the category or
the selection committee has the power to choose the nominee/winner. At this part,
the chosen nominee will now be required to submit the required documents to
compete for the outstanding teacher of the year category.
5. In case that there is no nominee or winner for the Outstanding OIC of the Year
category, the selection committee of the said category has the power to choose the
nominee and the winner of the said category.
6. The nominees for the Outstanding Teacher of the Year category will undergo final
evaluation and interview by the chair and the principal.
7. Interview and validation of submitted documents shall be announced in a specific
time.
