3.3 Client Features

3.3.1 Single Injection Locking

Single injections of the sequence can now be locked. When an injection is locked the injection parameters cannot be altered
and the results of the injection cannot be changed regardless of any changes to the sequences processing method.
When the injection is overlaid with other injections, the original unchanged results are shown. When all results of the
sequence are reported, the report displays the unchanged original results of each injection.

Note: This option can only be used with versioning of the Data Vault enabled. To enable versioning the Compliance
Tools license is required.

3.3.2 eWorkflows - Extended Capabilities

This release extends eWorkflows and introduces the option to append injections to an existing sequence or create a new
sequence.

3.3.3 Automatic Upload of Network Sequences

Sequences created and run directly from a Data Vault stored on a network are cached on the Instrument Controller PC in
the XVault. This special Data Vault stores the running Sequence, uploading the acquired raw data and any modifications
to the injection list to the remote Data Vault after each injection. The entire sequence can either be manually synchronized
and removed from the queue by the user, or with this release, the user has the option to set the instrument controller to
automatically synchronize and remove the sequence from the queue when the run finishes.

3.3.4 Performance Improvements

This release introduces significant performance improvements including:

3.3.4.1 Data Volume

The size of data files and data objects have been optimized through data compression.

Note: Data improvements require that the database schema of 7.1 SR1 Data Vaults be updated. This update prevents
backward compatibility with previous versions. Therefore Chromeleon 7.1 SR1 data cannot be transferred to Chromeleon
7.1 Data Vaults. All Chromeleon Data Vaults must be upgraded to the latest schema using the Data Vault Manager.

3.3.4.2 Batch Reporting

Speed of batch reporting via print, export or electronic reports has been optimized.

3.3.4.3 3D Data
This release improves 3D data handling. Data are now loaded in portions so that better a response is experienced when
working with large sequences.

3.3.4.4 eWorkflows [CM7-9613]

The response when selecting an instrument in an eWorkflow that lists a large number of instruments has been optimized.

3.3.5 LIMS Worklist Import

This release of Chromeleon introduces support to generate sequences created from a Laboratory Information Management
System (LIMS) if the required information is supplied in wlex worklist format.

3.3.6 NFP Notifications [CM7-7398] [CM7-7782]

Improvements have been made to the Console that better indicate network issues when a sequence is running.

This Service Release adds support for the printing and reporting of ICF Method files.

3.3.9 Printing Instrument and Processing Method, Interactive Results and Interactive Charts
This release adds the ability to print an instrument or processing method, interactive results and interactive charts directly
from the Chromatography Studio.

3.3.10 Inverse Gradient Support

The baseline of the Dionex Corona CAD can be affected by changes in the eluent composition during gradient elution. The
most effective compensation for this is achieved by adding an inverted eluent gradient after the column but before the
detector, so that the eluent composition remains constant in the detector. The new inverse gradient feature has these
characteristics:
It is only supported for Dionex UltiMate dual gradient (DGP) pumps.

The right pump delivers the master gradient whilst the left delivers the inverted gradient.

Binary and ternary gradients including curved gradients are supported.

The inverse gradient can be delayed to allow for differences in delay/dead volume, as specified by the user (for
example, no column in the inverse gradient flow path).

3.3.11 Component Table Wizard based on Spectral Library

In this release the Component Table Wizard now supports the ability to run a spectral library search to identify components.
If the chromatogram contains 3D data and if parameters for a spectral library search are defined in the processing method,
the name of the matching component in the spectral library can be applied to the identified component.

3.3.12 Copy Channels

This release introduces the ability to copy a channel, for example, to evaluate one channel using two different approaches
for data evaluation.

3.3.13 Run External Program Online [CM7-9601]

External program files (*.exe) or batch files (*.bat or *.cmd), for example, to save data or copy files, can be executed during
the sequence run ("Online mode").

3.3.14 Sorting of Injection Query Results

The default sort for results of Injection Queries has been changed from Injection Number (which ends up replicated when a
query includes multiple Sequences) to Injection Date/Time (which is typically more practical).

3.3.15 Plot Enhancements

A full-size interactive plot button is now available to autoscale both axes simultaneously. [CM7-2556]
Settings made in the online plot are saved so they are still available after closing and reopening Chromeleon. [CM7-
2702]
The signals that can be shown in the online signal plot are now grouped by device instead of appearing in a random
order. [CM7-4716]
When zooming in the real time plot the cursor coordinates are now visible and a zoom box is shown. [CM7-8846]
Online Plot zoom options are maintained when switching to the next injection. [CM7-9185]

Information about the last version, such as number and user ID of the following objects are now available as report
variables: Sequence, Injection, Chromatogram, Instrument Method, Processing Method, and Report Template.

3.3.18 Sequence Control [CM7-1329]

This release introduces an additional Sequence Control Bar option for new and incomplete sequences. There is now an
option to add sequences to the Queue.

3.4 Administrative Features

This release introduces the following administrative features:

3.4.1 Printing User Management Details [CM7-7071]

This release adds the ability to print the User Database settings, the User Database Audit Trail and the Global Policies. In
addition a report can be created. The User Database report exports all details to xml format that can be viewed in your
internet browser and subsequently printed.

3.4.2 SQL Server Authentication for Standard Data Vaults [CM7-5341]

The Chromeleon Data Vault Manager now uses SQL Server authentication for standard Data Vaults by default. Previously
Windows Authentication was applied.

Note: Upgrading Chromeleon does not change the authentication mechanism of existing Data Vaults, but it can be
changed by dismounting and remounting the Data Vaults.

3.5 Additional Features

This release introduces the Chromeleon 7 Extension Pack:

3.5.1 Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)

To determine the molecular weight distribution of polymers, a commonly used technique is gel permeation chromatography
(GPC), also known as size exclusion chromatography (SEC).
Contrary to conventional HPLC, where calibration is performed by establishing the relationship between the amount and the
detector response, calibration in GPC is based on the relationship between (the logarithm of) the molecular weight and the
retention time. Thus a calibration of retention time using molecular weight standards (narrow standards) has to be
performed. The resulting calibration function enables the calculation of molecular weights from the detected retention times
of unknown peaks.
To describe the molecular weight distribution, the peaks of the unknown substances are divided into multiple peak slices
(detailed results for each peak slice are provided in the Slice_Details sheets). From these slices, the molecular weight
distribution curve and the cumulative distribution curve are calculated and plotted. In addition, four characteristic molecular
weight averages are calculated (the so called moments of the distribution, Table 1). These are the number-average
molecular weight, the weight-average molecular weight, the z-average molecular weight, and the z+1-average molecular
weight. Finally the Polydispersity (dispersity, dispersion) is calculated as the ratio of the weight to the number-average
molecular weight.
The GPC Templates provided in the Chromeleon 7 Extension Pack automate the calculation and reporting steps and allow
the quick and easy creation of GPC reports. The GPC templates are available in the Extension Pack\GPC Template folder
on the Service Release DVD.

4 Limitations and Known Issues

4.1 Functional Differences between Chromeleon 7.1 SR1 and Chromeleon 6.8
In many ways, Chromeleon 7.1 SR1 has a richer feature set than Chromeleon 6.8, but not all features of Chromeleon 6.8
are available in Chromeleon 7.1 SR1. A few 6.8 features remain to be implemented on the 7 platform and a few will never
be implemented because they are considered either obsolete or no longer relevant. If a particular missing feature is
important to you, please contact your local Thermo Fisher Scientific representative for Dionex products to find out if that
feature is in the product development plans.

4.2 Performance of Microsoft SQL Server

On SQL Server, if several users perform certain operations simultaneously, some of these tasks may fail and need to be
restarted. Affected operations (especially with large sequences) include upload of finished sequences, and deleting and
copying sequences. Oracle is not affected.

4.3 Agilent ICF

For limitations regarding the Agilent Instrument Control Framework, please refer to section 5 in the document \Documents
Chromeleon and Agilent ICF - Quick Start Guide - Chromeleon 7.1 SR1.pdf.

4.4 Waters Acquity Framework

There are several known issues with the Waters Acquity Framework. These are:
Should the Waters instrument detect an IP address conflict during start up then the Chromeleon driver will log the error
message into the Audit Trail. If this message is ignored, it will be displayed again after 2 hours which can result in a
running sample being aborted.
Localization to a non-English regional setting for the PC (e.g. German) does not function correctly for the timed events
table, e.g. using a Waters 2998 PDA detector and setting a timed event in the program file (e.g. wavelength change at
5 minutes), the event is recorded but without the event time.
Waters 2489 PDA detector: After changing the program from single to dual wavelength mode (without changing
Channel A wavelength), the data rate for Channel B is set incorrectly and incomplete data collections occurs.
After removing the Sample Organizer from the Server Configuration, the plate set up is not updated correctly. Manually
updating the plate settings in the plate setup configuration dialog avoids this issue.

The numbers in the first column of the table below refer to the Thermo Fisher Scientific tracking IDs.

ID Description

CM7-2085 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing - Contour Plot: it was not possible to set x-axis to seconds.

CM7-2292 ePanel - Online Plot: It was not possible to set the time axis on the online plot to seconds.

CM7-2324 Studio - Report Designer / Interactive Results: When grouping results by "Evaluation of this formula" in the properties of
a result table, it was not possible to access the Report formula dialog box. Now the "Autocomplete Formula Editor"
option is used.

CM7-3669 Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method: The option Check Method did not mention the absence of an acquisition
on (or off) command, when the acquisition off (or on) was present.

CM7-4284 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: Specific components or channels could not be assigned to a report column
from the Summary Table category in a summary table.

CM7-4285 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: It was not possible to assign a specific channel to a report column from the
Integration Table category in an integration table.

CM7-5064 Instruments - Detectors: With IC detectors and TSP detectors, chromatograms could sometimes be short by one or two
data points, because Acquisition Off commands were executed immediately. Modifications have been made to the
driver base class to ensure that all expected data points are collected before data acquisition is ended.

CM7-5341 Administration - Data Vault Management: When connecting several Chromeleon stations in a peer-to-peer network, it
was not possible to see Data Vaults on the remote stations. The Chromeleon Data Vault Manager now uses SQL
Server authentication for standard data vaults.

CM7-5769 Chromatography Studio - Cobra Wizard: The selected peak is now marked.

CM7-6732 Console - Instruments: After changing the instrument configuration the autogenerated ePanel tabset was only updated
after closing and reopening the Chromeleon Console. The update now happens automatically.

CM7-6798 Chromatography Studio: Loading a sequence with many injections and a lot of raw data was unexpectedly slow. The
way the sequence is loaded has been optimized.

CM7-7112 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: The Instrument Method Report Table did not contain the SmartX settings (if
applicable).

CM7-7393 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: The performance of the component table wizard, when using it on a
chromatogram with hundreds of peaks, was poor. After finishing the wizard Chromeleon appeared to hang, but the
process took a long time to complete. The performance is now significantly improved.

CM7-8021 Chromatography Studio - Interactive Chart: Injection Charts did not show any result when opened using an injection
containing no peaks. When moving to an injection that did contain peaks, there still was no selection, and therefore no
chart and a peak had to be manually selected. Now, when switching to an injection containing peaks, the injection
charts automatically select the first peak in the chromatogram.

CM7-8204 Setup - IQ: If IQ was cancelled partial results were shown. Report now contains only the information that the IQ was
cancelled and requests that the user re-runs the test.

CM7-8288 Console - eWorkflows: When using the "Start sequence immediately" option, it was not oobvious if any ready check
errors were generated. The sequence start procedure has been modified to allow these errors to be observed.

CM7-8341 ePanels - Online Signal Plot: It was not possible to display virtual channels in the online signal plot. Virtual channels can
now be displayed.

CM7-8381 Chromatography Studio - Interactive Results: An imported but unconverted Chromeleon 6 program would give an empty
command list table.

CM7-8520 Instruments - Waters Alliance: After running an emergency method, it was not possible to start a new sequence.

CM7-8537 Installation: When performing an upgrade of an existing installation, the Chromeleon setup disabled the option Start
Service on System Start (when enabled).

CM7-8574 Instruments - ESA Corona: The Data Collection Rates 30 Hz and 60 Hz were not applied correctly. 30 Hz was applied
as 25 Hz, and 60 Hz was applied as 50 Hz.

ID Description

CM7-8596 ICS-3000 ED - Waveforms: Programs for ED electrochemical detectors used in Integrated Amperometry mode also
include waveform settings that are stored as separate files, and these were not converted to waveform files in
Chromeleon 7.1 SR1. Waveform created by converting CM6 Programs can now be rendered in CM7 Instrument
Methods with the option to save the waveform file into CM7 format.

CM7-8622 Instruments - ICS-3000/ICS-5000: Smart Standby defaulted to setting the ICS-3000/5000 pump motor state to Off
instead of On.

CM7-8743 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: It was not possible to add a report formula that displays the origin of fixed
calibration standards.

CM7-8794 User Management Access Groups: Access control list was not copied to XVault and from the instrument queue a user
could access a restricted sequence. The access control list is now applied correctly to the XVault and prevents
unauthorized users.

CM7-8860 Instruments G1367C: Vial positions were iincorrectly numbered when using 100 vial rack. This issue was attributable
to the Agilent ICF and has been corrected in version A.01.03.

CM7-9036 Instruments - Agilent ICF: If no Agilent LC sampler (controlled through the Instrument Control Framework ICF) was
configured, started injections were stopped immediately.

CM7-9050 Console - Versioning: When comparing instrument methods, containing comments in the time steps, an error occurred.

CM7-9089 Chromatography Studio - Contour Plot: When extracting a chromatogram channel with a specified name from a three-
dimensional plot for a single injection, it was not possible to use the same channel name for another injection from the
same sequence. Now this is possible, as long as this channel name does not already exist in the injection.

CM7-9107 Console - Query: When creating an injection query in a non versioned Data Vault, moving away from the query and
selecting the option Don't Save, the query was saved anyway.

CM7-9136 Instruments - DGP3600SD/RS - ePanel: When using an UltiMate 3000 DGP-3600SD or DGP-3600RS dual gradient
pump, an incorrect home panel (of a single pump) was displayed.

CM7-9160 Instruments - ASE-350: In the Report Designer report variable dialog for report variables, preconditions, and audit trail
variables, the variables field would not populate. These categories now populate with the proper variables.

CM7-9165 Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method: When multiple samplers are available in an Instrument, it is now possible
to select which sampler to use for the injection.

CM7-9166 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: When using the fixed calibration mode, while having matrix correction
enabled, the matrix correction was also applied to the fixed calibration standards, which originate from another
sequence. This is no longer the case.

CM7-9167 Client - Chromatography Studio- Processing Method: Import of a sequence from Chromeleon 6 could lead to automatic
re-calculation of calibration curve. This is no longer the case, please see help for further information.

CM7-9170 Instruments - FLD-3x00(RS): Changing the acquisition parameters for an FLD-3x00 from 2D to 3D within the Instrument
Method Editor without subsequently defining any 3D parameters, created a method that passed the Ready Check but
which failed to start. The Ready Check now provides a warning to the user and if no changes are made default settings
are applied.

CM7-9172 Setup - aborts because of XVault: During installation the setup could abort and the error message "Could not mount
Data Vault XVault. The data vault service is not available" would be shown. Improvements when registering Data Vaults
with Discovery have been made.

CM7-9178 Console Data: Attempting to delete injections from a large Sequence could sometimes generate an Out of Memory
exception error.

CM7-9186 Console - Instruments - ePanels - FLD-3000: Clicking an Acquisition On button on the FLD ePanel resulted in errors. As
this functionality is easily accessible using the Monitor Baseline option from the toolbar the Acquisition On button is
removed from the ePanel.

CM7-9203 General: On rare occasions the Chromeleon service host crashed (causing several services to stop). Software
components are updated to avoid this issue.

CM7-9214 Admin console - Local Machine - Data Vault: While creating a multi-user Data Vault, each database to which the user
doesn't have access rights produced an error message. Error messages have been removed and replaced with a
warning in the error log file.

CM7-9217 Agilent 6890/7890 GC: Creating or editing an Instrument Method for an Agilent 6890 or 7890 GC without any injectors
selected/installed resulted in an error. The Instrument Method is now created correctly.

CM7-9218 Chromatography Studio - Reporting - Report Formula: The report formula chm.peak("by tab.number",x).xxx did not
show the result for the xth peak that is present in the component table, but of an arbitrary peak in the component table.

CM7-9231 Console - Data: Chromeleon 7 Data Vaults that have been previously listed will no longer be removed from the list if a
Data Vault service becomes unavailable or is slow to start; an explicit action in Administration Console will now be
required to remove such Data Vaults from Discovery.

Chromeleon 7

ID Description

CM7-9235 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: When using background subtraction, for peak rider spectra the baseline
spectra of the corresponding main peak were used. This has been resolved, and now the spectra from the left and right
rider peak edges are used.

CM7-9236 Compliance - Electronic Signature: Verification of an electronic signature failed when the Data Vault containing this
sequence did not have versioning enabled.

CM7-9238 Studio - Instrument Method: When changing and saving an instrument method under a new name using the "Save as"
command, then changing the new instrument method again and saving under yet another name, changes appeared in
both copies.

CM7-9251 Console - Licensing: On a local Chromeleon installation that did not have the license Compliance Tools and did not
have versioning enabled on the Data Vault, every time the Chromeleon Client was opened the following message
appeared: The requested 'Compliance Tools' license has not been granted. Without this license, version-enabled data
vaults will not be accessible. Click OK to continue or Cancel to exit. This is no longer the case.

CM7-9261 Client - Studio - Report Designer: It was not possible to add a report formula that displayed certain variables (Calibration
Mode and Amount Interpretation).

CM7-9263 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: Interactive charts were not properly updated when used in autorepeat areas,
causing the same chart to always show.

CM7-9269 Sequence - Queue - Emergency Method: An error (but not at the abort level) detected during the pre-run check of a
sequence would result in the Emergency Method being run but the sequence/injection could be incorrectly marked as
finished and the next sequence in the Queue started anyway. The sequence/injection is now marked 'Interrupted' (or
'Failed' depending on the error) and the next sequence does not start.

CM7-9281 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: When performing an Ad-hoc spectral library search, the returned results did
not display a name.

CM7-9282 ePanels - NCS-3500RS Diagnostics: The viscosity measurement procedure has been improved to avoid possible
contamination and incorrect measurements.

CM7-9288 Console - Send to: Creating a cmbx file from data on a Data Vault on the network did not work correctly.

CM7-9303 Console - Instrument Category - Queue: In certain circumstances, when opening a sequence using the link in the
Queue, an error message could occur relating to a missing sequence item.

CM7-9323 Console: In the "Create" menu of the Console, commands for Spectral Library and View Settings were disabled if focus
was set to an item in the Work Area.

CM7-9326 Instruments Shimadzu LC: The Shimadzu LC drivers did not work on Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems.

CM7-9330 Console - Send To: Attached Items of a Query, such as View Settings or Report, have not been included when creating
a CMBX file. This has been fixed so that CMBX files created with 7.1 SR1 will include these items. Please note that
CMBX files which include Queries cannot be read by previous versions of Chromeleon.

CM7-9361 Instruments - ICS-5000 AS: When using a computer with German locale and an ICS-5000 AS, an exception error was
generated when trying to enter a command in the AS Sample Preparation page and therefore the command was not
inserted.

CM7-9395 Instruments - All Dual-Instrument Setups: When two ICS systems were configured under the same timebase only one
control panel would be displayed, requiring the user to manually add the other panel. A second panel is now
automatically displayed

CM7-9402 Instruments - AS-AP: Opening an instrument method other than Push Sequential and then changing it to that mode on
the Editor page results in a missing diverter valve command. This will no longer happen and the proper diverter valve
command will be added to the script.

CM7-9411 Administration Console - Data Vault Manager: It was not possible to create a new Data Vault with a long name, where
the complete path exceeds 128 characters, on Windows XP computers.

CM7-9436 Instruments - ICS-900: An ICS-900 could be used with an "IC Control SE" license without manual configuration. Any
other instrument license caused an error and required manual configuration of the respective license in the
Administration Console.

CM7-9437 Instruments - Agilent 6890 GC: When using the Instrument Method Editor to change an Instrument Method for an
Agilent 6890 GC with Cool on Column inlet without EPC, it was not possible to access the Inlet Options or Column tabs
to edit the configuration. These tabs are now available.

CM7-9455 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: With some operating systems country settings the Cobra wizard failed at
the baseline noise step.

CM7-9475 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: After adding a reference spectrum to a component, performing an Undo,
and after that a Redo, caused an exception.

Chromeleon 7

ID Description

CM7-9480 Chromatography Studio Report Designer: When printing a report containing a contour plot, using the application menu
option Current Sequence, the contour plot showed data from another injection, even when the plot title showed the
correct injection details.

CM7-9482 Instrument Method Editor - AS-AP Autosampler: changing injection mode of an existing Instrument Method led to a field
validation error upon attempting to save. (Could occur with other devices and parameters also.)

CM7-9484 Compliance - User Management: Privileges for injections with status Finished were not applied to injections with status
Interrupted, which could cause loss of data.

CM7-9491 Console - ePanels - PCM-3000: When calibrating the conductivity for the PCM 3000 using the ePanel an incorrect
temperature value was used, causing an incorrect calibration value.

CM7-9493 Console - Export: Running a PDF export from a Chromeleon client, blocked other Chromeleon clients from using the
PDF export. This was only observed when running multiple CM7 instances on one computer, for example a terminal
server.

CM7-9498 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: When copying/pasting multiple rows between two sorted groups within a
table, an error would occur.

CM7-9506 Instruments - Agilent ICF: controlling a single module e.g. UV detector in combination with a Dionex Autosampler WPS-
3000, using the Agilent ICF resulting in the sequence failing to start.

CM7-9513 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: SST summary table did not contain any data when creating an electronic
report or printing a report.

CM7-9518 Console - Instruments - ePanels: In some occasions the incorrect ePanels were loaded when clicking Retry while the
ePanel Set was still being loaded.

CM7-9522 Installation: Chromeleon failed to install when an SQL Server 2008 (Express) instance was already present. The
existing SQL installation can now be used instead of SQL Server Express 2005 (although this is not officially supported).

CM7-9526 Client - Chromatography Studio - Electronic Report: In some cases electronic signature variables were not updated in
electronic reports. All electronic report variables are now updated in electronic reports.

CM7-9529 Instruments - Waters: the Waters 2996 Photo Diode Array Detector Instrument Method editor page was not shown.

CM7-9531 General: After uploading a Sequence that had previously failed to upload, the Sequence Editor did not automatically
switch to the network copy of the Sequence as expected.

CM7-9538 Console: Attempting to copy multiple sequences that had been downloaded from a network Data Vault to a local XVault
could generate an exception error.

CM7-9560 Client - Import/Export: Incorrect error message displayed during import of corrupt data. Correct error message is now
displayed.

CM7-9561 Console - Data: Without the privilege "Modify Finished Injection" a user was not allowed to change an injection at all.
This occurred even if the injection was still in the "Idle" status.

CM7-9563 Client - Chromatography Studio - Contour Plot: Axis titles missing or not displayed correctly on spectra plot. All titles now
show correct units and are described correctly.

CM7-9565 Smart Startup/Shutdown: Instrument Methods with non-zero proportion for eluent B, C, or D could generate an
exception error with text "Subtrahend cannot be initial time".

CM7-9567 Instruments - WPS-3000: When using certain combinations of vial trays, the tray description got corrupted and therefore
it was not possible to enter valid vial positions in the sequence.

CM7-9589 Client - Console - eWorkflows: A comment entered in a sequence containing no description would not be applied.

CM7-9595 Instrument Configuration: Applying a factor to certain signals did not have any effect. This has been resolved.

CM7-9602 Console - Query: The "Is not empty" operator didn't work properly.

CM7-9606 Instruments - Data Collection: For several driver channels using fixed data collection rates, the data acquisition did not
CM7-9614 always end at exactly the AcqOff time. Often the final data point would be missing and very occasionally there were
some extra data points.

CM7-9620 Console - Query: When a query returned a very large number of hits (in the thousands), the scrolling of the virtual
sequence was very slow.

CM7-9629 Instruments - AS-AP with Diverter Valve: On the TLV Calibration subpanel, transfer line 2 did not properly calibrate. This
is no longer the case.

CM7-9631 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing - System Suitability Testing: Using the 'between' operator caused the SST
Wizard to not complete correctly.

CM7-9644 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing - Smart Peaks: In certain circumstances when using the Smart Peaks
feature, the Studio would freeze without an error message.

Chromeleon 7

ID Description

CM7-9651 Client - Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method, Localization: GC ramp grid would not work for language settings
with non-default decimal separator.

CM7-9658 Instrument Licensing: In certain special circumstances, Class 3 Instrument Licenses could not control Class 2
instruments. The licensing has been updated to maintain the licensing rules.

CM7-9661 Instruments - Trace GC: When using a Trace GC with two inlets and/or detectors, after running the Instrument Method
Editor wizard and only using one inlet and/or detector, the Instrument Method Editor wizard skipped pages for the other
inlet and/or detector however, the script editor contained steps for the devices that were not used.

CM7-9679 Instrument Method Editor: Changing between script/device views in the Editor could modify the script. This was resolved
as part of an Editor redesign. This affects the following instruments: Agilent 7890/6890GC, Perkin Elmer GC, and also
for the Dionex Ultimate FLD3x00. The same problem is still present for the Thermo Scientific Trace/Focus GC, AS2000,
and AS/AI3000.

CM7-9685 Instruments - Agilent 7890 GC: When configuring an Agilent 7890 GC for dual operation (shared on two instruments),
two Instrument Class 2 licenses were requested, while only one was required. Only one Class 2 license is now
requested.

CM7-9689 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: When using both portrait and landscape sheet orientation and exporting a
report to PDF file, Chromeleon reported errors and the resulting PDF had either sheet orientation only.

CM7-9698 General: Chromeleon did not operate with mandatory Windows user profiles kiosk mode.

CM7-9701 Client - Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method: instrument method parameters were not always updated in the
Script when changed within the module view of the editor.

CM7-9710 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: When performing a calibration using a component group, the components
that did not have an amount in the level column(s) were not included in the calibration, resulting in an incorrect
calibration and therefore incorrect amounts.

CM7-9738 Instruments - ICS-2x00: Dual configurations with EG results in inability to set the EG concentration to a non-0 value and
cycling twice through the EG section of the Instrument Method Editor Wizard. The ability to set the EG concentration
has been fixed and the Wizard now cycles through the EG section correctly.

CM7-9749 Client - Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method: switching between module views of a DAD and FLD removed
"Response Time" settings in the DAD portion of the instrument method.

CM7-9754 Batch Reporting - Autorepeat Area: When setting an autorepeat area using all injections and components, printing for all
injections resulted in multiple print copies of the same data.

CM7-9756 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: calibrating a component based on internal standards and setting an
internal standard in a different channel, did not work.

CM7-9758 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer - Autorepeat Areas: When setting up autorepeat areas using "Repeat
components under certain conditions", it was not possible to use component custom variables in the "More Conditions"
dialog.

CM7-9759 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: When tables in the Processing Method were grouped, this was not
saved. This is now resolved, so once the grouping is saved, it is always immediately visible when opening the
Processing Method again.

CM7-9761 Data Acquisition: In certain circumstances, when data acquisition started after 0mins, it was possible for the retention
time to be recorded incorrectly. This only affected RS/SD/BM pump pressure and Coulochem channels.

CM7-9762 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: When copying a component that has an associated internal standard (ISTD)
component and the corresponding ISTD component from one Processing Method to another, the component got an
incorrect associated ISTD, when the other Processing Method also already contained ISTD components.

CM7-9763 Instrument Configuration - Shimadzu: When configuring a Shimadzu Instrument containing two detectors, the second
detector did not appear in the configuration wizard.

CM7-9814 Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method - PDA-3000: When creating an Instrument Method for an Instrument
containing a PDA-3000 detector, the autozero command was inserted after the inject command.

CM7-9820 Chromatography Studio - Unexpected error when trying to extract optimum integration path: An error was observed
when Extract Optimum Integration Path option was applied to chromatograms that did not contain a valid peak list. If the
selected chromatogram does not contain integrated peaks the option to extract optimum integration path is disabled.

CM7-9831 Console - CM6 Data Import: It was possible for an error to occur when importing a sequence containing 3D data created
by a DDK-based instrument driver from a Chromeleon 6 Datasource.

CM7-9869 Console Sequence Wizard: In the Sequence Wizard, clearing an Instrument Method from the Methods and Reporting
page only cleared it from the field in that page, but that Instrument Method still was applied to the final Sequence.

CM7-9874 Instrument Driver - Shimadzu DAD: Under certain circumstances, some of the spectra could be missing from the 3D
field. The driver has been updated.

Chromeleon 7

ID Description

CM7-9904 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: When inserting a detection settings report table in the processing
method, events in the table were displayed in a non-chronological order. They are now displayed chronologically.

CM7-9908 Chromatography Studio - Electronic Reports: Updates to electronic reports in the Console were not dynamically
updated in the Chromatography Studio.

CM7-9914 Chromatography Studio - Reporting: COBRA detection parameters were not always correctly displayed in report tables.

CM7-9923 Client - Versioning: An error could occur while attempting to compare 2 versions of an instrument method on an
instrument with a Dual Gradient Pump.

CM7-9941 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: When using multiple component table records for one component, using
different channels, a fixed calibration always used the first component record (with the first channel) when trying to
calibrate the second channel. As a result the fixed calibration for the component on the second channel could not be
computed.

CM7-9951 Client Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: If an injection is deleted from the console view while the studio is
open, then opening another instance of the studio did not show all changes made, leading to errors.

CM7-9952 Client Chromatography Studio - Electronic Report: Changing page orientation in print dialogue would have no effect
on the printing. This setting is no longer ignored.

CM7-9954 Client - Chromatography Studio - Reporting: When adding a signature variable to a report header/footer, the variable
formula was shown rather than the result of the variable.

CM7-9967 Console - Data: It was possible to overwrite a sequence without having the "Delete Sequence" privilege. This happened
when saving another sequence under the same name using the "Save as" function.

CM7-9978 Compliance - Data Audit Trail - ICS Instrument Method: Not all changes made in the instrument method with Waters
ICS were logged in the data audit trail.

CM7-9984 Client - Console - OQ/PQ: OQ could fail if another database connection simultaneously accesses the same data vault.
Operation was changed to prevent this from happening in the future.

CM7-9988 Console: When copying a Finished injection to a Sequence that already had an injection of the same name, and
selecting "No" in the overwrite warning, the copy operation was cancelled. Now the copied injection is appended when
"No" is selected, and only "Cancel" cancels the operation.

CM7-9993 Console - Query: For Injection Queries, the term "Sequence Folder" has been changed to "Sequence Path", to more
accurately reflect the behaviors of the search algorithm when operators like "contains" and "starts with" are used.

CM7-10017 Console - eWorkflows category: When changing the Discovery Server for the local PC, all local eWorkflows would no
longer be shown (although they were still present and network ones were still visible).

CM7-10021 Client - Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: It was not possible to enter fixed channels manually when inserting
plots in the Report Designer.

CM7-10024 Compliance - Data Audit Trail - ICF Instrument Method: Not all changes made in the instrument method with Agilent ICF
were logged in the data audit trail.

CM7-10043 Client - Chromatography Studio - Chromatogram: Attempts to move a peak delimiter to a time before the first data point
of the chromatogram would produce an error.

CM7-10066 Audit Trails - Versioning: During sequence upload from the XVault after finishing the run, some extraneous versions
could be created in the sequence audit trail with no comment. The extra entries are removed and comments are
improved for upload actions.

CM7-10067 Admin Console - Scheduler: In certain circumstances, downloading multiple sequences simultaneously to the XVault
(i.e. starting multiple sequences in the queue) could cause failure of one or more of the downloads. A retry would be
successful but is no longer necessary.

CM7-10075 Console - Instruments - Queue: When printing a report directly from the queue (Report Setup), that contains a summary
table that is configured to print for the last injection in the sequence, only the last injection was available in the printed
summary table.

CM7-10077 Chromatography Studio - Reporting: Copying graphical objects between Chromeleon clients an error occurred.

CM7-10085 Client - Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method: Instrument method could be changed in a "read-only" sequence.
Chromeleon now prevents such changes from being made.

CM7-10087 Panel - Control - Online Plot: Online chromatogram could not be overlaid during acquisition on a network data vault.
This function now works as expected.

CM7-10089 Console - Instruments - Queue: When a copy of a sequence in the Queue was saved on an Instrument Controller, the
raw data was not always copied with the sequence.

CM7-10092 Instruments - 3rd party drivers: An Agilent ELSD controlled via ICF would stop after 1st injection.

Chromeleon 7

ID Description

CM7-10106 Console - Import From: When importing a CMBX file, Chromeleon did not show a message when the file contained
data, incompatible with the current Chromeleon version.

CM7-10122 Client - Chromatography Studio - Reporting: Matrix area/height computations previously included all injections, even if
an injection had yet to be run. Only completed injections are now included.

CM7-10125 Console Import: If Chromeleon exported data contained files with certain characters such as accented letters in the
filenames the import failed. Character support has been extended.

CM7-10139 Compliance - User Management - Privileges: When a user with the privilege Create Folder, but without the privilege
Rename Folder, created a new folder he could not give this folder a user defined name and a folder with the name New
Folder was created. Now giving the new folder a user defined name is part of the folder creation process. If no new
name is given, the new folder will be discarded.

CM7-10147 Instruments - ICS-1500: When using the Instrument Method Wizard with a live ICS-1500, the <Next> button on the
Detector page would have no effect if the Column Temperature control was set to Off, because the temperature value
was being interpreted as invalid.

CM7-10153 Console - Instruments - Queue: Attempting to copy an Instrument Method or Processing Method to a queued Sequence
did not result in the item actually being copied, and there was no indication that the operation had failed. Copying
objects to queued Sequences is now possible.

CM7-10190 Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method Editor: Under certain circumstances, deleting line(s) from a table in a
device view could cause an error.

CM7-10233 Chromatography Studio - Report Designer: When using an export file name containing a dot, the part behind the dot
was replaced by the file extension, and therefore the file name was truncated.

CM7-10246 Client - Console - Instruments: When adding a sequence to an instrument and activating the "for each injection" option
in the injection condition drop-down menu for the print set up, this could not be reversed if the dialogue box was closed.

CM7-10255 Chromatography Studio - Instrument Method: In the Suppressor Options page of the Instrument Method Editor, deleting
an eluent concentration value and attempting to set a different eluent's concentration generated an unhandled exception
error.

CM7-10274 Client - Chromatography Studio - Chromatogram: Attempts to move a peak rider delimiter to a time before the first data
point of the chromatogram would produce an error.

CM7-10290 Client - Studio: Incorrect error message displayed when attempting to "Quick Print..." results without print results
privilege. Error message is now as expected.

CM7-10291 Client - Chromatography Studio: Using print option in print preview it was possible to print results without the necessary
privilege. This is no longer possible.

CM7-10303 Administration - User Database - Instrument Control: Descriptions of privileges for changing Qualification
Interval/Performance Limit changed to reflect that absolute limits can also be changed.

CM7-10327 Console - Electronic Signatures: Submit/review/approve was not available for an incomplete sequence where the
instrument was not currently connected.

CM7-10335 Client - Console - Instruments: Instrument names could include special characters. However, any connection attempt to
these instruments failed. Connection with instruments named in this fashion can now be realized.

CM7-10353 Administration - User management: All references to "processed injections" changed to "finished or interrupted
injections" to reflect the fact that the data has not been processed at that stage.

CM7-10357 Smart Startup - Ultimate Detectors: Ultimate detectors which can accommodate the PCS-3000 accessory could fail to
run the wake up part of the Smart Startup properly.

CM7-10360 Console - Instruments - Ultimate Drivers: Response time of FLD could not be set to a value less than 1.

CM7-10364 Client - Chromatography Studio - Electronic Report: Signatures could not be removed from Approved/Reviewed
sequences despite having the correct privileges to do so.

CM7-10387 Chromatography Studio - Data Processing: The Ribbon Data Processing Home tab, Clipboard group options did not
function.

CM7-10454 Chromatography Studio - CM6 Data Importing: When importing a Chromeleon 6 'SOR' file with empty sheets an error
could be displayed when opening the electronic report in Chromeleon 7.

CM7-10475 Instrument Method Editor: ASE: static rinse volume would revert to the default value any time the Extraction Method
page was visited, and could only be updated by editing in the script view and saving without visiting the Extraction
Method page.

CM7-10500 Virtual Column: Gradient: gradient overlay on chromatogram did not show correct slope when slope was other than the
optimum value.

CM7-10529 Chromatography Studio - Processing Method: Headers were not correctly printed for Processing Methods that were not
assigned to any injection of a Sequence.

ID Description

CM7-10536 ASE 350 - Rinse: full rinse bottle condition: if R1 bottle is full and R2 bottle is missing, a stray Cell in Oven on Power Up
error occurred after the full/missing bottle errors, and purge gas could be vented when the autoseal tip was not in
contact with the cell.

CM7-10537 ASE 350 - Rinse Bottle: full bottle condition: needle assembly was not automatically descending before purge after rinse
bottle replaced.

CM6-15130 Instruments - Shimadzu LC2010: In certain circumstances, changing to dual wavelength acquisition mode could cause
an unrecoverable error in the driver. The introduction of the latest Shimadzu OCX driver has resolved this issue.

CM6-20076 Instruments - Agilent 7890GC - 7693A barcode reader: When using the barcode reader with the 7693A ALS, the
leading zero of a numeric barcode was lost.

CM6-20446 Agilent 7890 GC: When using an Agilent 7890 GC in dual operation mode with identical injector device names, there
was no inject response from the back injector. This now works correctly.

CM6-20536 DAD-3000/MWD-3000(RS): Command counter format mismatch lead to loss of device control. The command counter
format mismatch has been resolved.

CM6-20546 Agilent 7890 GC: Selecting the front injector type in the Sampler tab of the driver resulted in missing autosampler tray
positions.

CM6-20568 Agilent 7890 GC: When installing the Agilent 7890 GC driver, a communication issue prevented retrieval of the GC
configuration.

CM6-20729 Shimadzu SIL-10A: Dilution Mode: The upper limit of TotalVolume property was not applied correctly. New upper limits
have been applied.

CM6-20809 Instruments UltiMate 3000 RS pumps: The pump sporadically wrote the warning {PumpModule} No response from
PUMP-3000RS @ USB-8021808 for 60.000000 seconds. to the audit trail.

CM6-20890 Agilent 7890 GC: When using the Agilent 7890 GC with an external autosampler, incorrect synchronisation of the GC
start time resulted in poor retention time reproducibility.

CM6-20962 Agilent 7890 GC: When using an Agilent 7890 GC in dual operation mode, starting a sequence on one side (e.g. back)
whilst the other was still running resulted in the running sequence being aborted. This is now handled correctly.

CM6-21027 Chromeleon Instrument Controller: Starting the Chromeleon Instrument Controller Service and/or reconfiguring
individual modules in the Instrument Configuration Manager could be very slow in certain circumstances.

CM6-21031 Instruments - NCS-3500 / NCP-3200; Calibrate WP command: When using the Calibrate WP command, if the pump is
not correctly prepared and/or if the user does not follow the specified procedure, the pump can be damaged. The Ready
Check now issues warnings to ensure correct use of this command. The warning is also displayed if the command is
issued manually.

CM6-21350 Instruments - Agilent ICF: When adding samples to a running Sequence, on an Instrument without an Agilent sampler
present, the Sequence could be aborted.

CM6-21053 Instruments - AS-AP: When Injection Type was set to blank, InjectWash command would not be performed, and there
was no warning to inform the user.

CM6-21229 Instruments - Dionex AS-AP: When shared between two instruments, the panel command Toggle Inject Valve did not
consider exclusive access and could operate the valve from the wrong instrument.
