THE WILD ANIMAL IN ME

UNTAMED

Being "wild". Interesting concept, isn't it? Such a complex universe of meanings hidden
inside such a seemingly shallow word, meanings still waiting for each one of us to explore
them, tempting us to get lost - a terrifying, but euphoric experience - in their chaotic
elegance, tempting us to dive deeper in their world, a world dominated by subjectivity.

The "wild" part of our consciousness is usually associated with a wild animal, a relatively
accurate physical representation of it, thereby allowing everyone to understand and interpret
this concept. However, it is so much more than that. It is a whole part of ourselves.

The "wild animal" in me wants everything that I am not, the wild animal in me chases my
deepest and most insane desires, it chases chaos and it chases risks, it chases flames, it chases
freedom, it chases being overwhelmed by the darkness we're sometimes so afraid of
approaching. It has made its dwelling inside my existence, and it made me enjoy it.

This wild animal portrays everything my raw self yearns for, and I feel like it could be
immensely helpful, but first, I have to learn how to befriend it without taming it; I have to
learn how to set it free.
