Tanning Salon

Im against this topic because it has lots of negative effects and issues. The
fact is doctors also agree as well. The people who go to these tanning salons
would say you dont expect me to go along with this 10% tax on tanning
salon sessions, do you? Back to the negative effects of this issue is that the
cumulative damage caused by UV radiation can lead to premature skin aging
(wrinkles, lax skin, brown spots, and more), as well as skin cancer. The fact is
studies have shown using tanning beds before age 35 increase their risk for
melanoma by 75 percent. The fact is If that doesnt convince you to not tan I do
not know what will. Oranges on the other hand also is very healthy for you
and also it's healthy its self because its a fruit. And also tanning salons
and just tanning in general can be compared to this, but in a negative way.
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, is linked to getting severe sunburns,
especially at a young age, when you go to tanning salons.
Indoor tanning equipment, which include all artificial light sources like beds,
lamps, bulbs, booths, etc. emits UVA and UVB rays that are very dangerous.
Estimates are that indoor tanning may cause upward of about 400,000 cases per
year in the U.S. Also people not using them for medical purposes can get banned.
DHA is a active ingredient in tanning booths and it is the main ingredient that
causes damage. it ruins your dna genetic lineage, and to your body as well. It also
goes into effect when you inhale the DHA as well.
So what is this Ultraviolet radiation that causes such harm? Ultraviolet
radiation is a type of invisible light given off by the sun and by certain kinds of
lamps (like tanning beds and sun lamps). One thing people say is that using the
booths increase your vitamin D production. but this is not true in fact there is no
evidence stating that it does. If you do not protect your eyes while tanning,
overexposure to UV radiation can also cause temporary but painful eye conditions
known as photokeratitis and photoconjunctivitis. Also people with fair skin or a
history of sunburn also have an increased risk of sunburn. this is why i think tanning
salons are a negative and i think people should not use them at all especially if they
want to stay healthy.
