TEAM CHARTER

Group motto: A wise man once said Teamwork makes the dream work
and dreams dont work until you do.
Group Members: Aditya Jirafe, Lock Mei Lin, Loo Junqi, Yap Ming Cheng

1) Group Expectation / Objectives

A for PW at the end of process
Inform each other when we cannot make it to group meetings
Finish assigned work on time and to his or her best ability
Enjoy the research process
Build friendships during the process

2) Individual

Aditya: I am willing to stay up late to finish my work and able to find simple solutions to
complicated problems. Also, I like to make things look aesthetic. However, one of my
weaknesses is conducting secondary research as I tend to get distracted looking at long chunks
of text.

Junqi: I am able to compromise my point of view and accept others opinions, even if they differ
from my own. At the same time, however, I can get impatient when work to be completed is not
done efficiently.

Meilin: I am resilient when there are problems, and can be calm under pressure. My weakness
is lack of confidence in my work and tend to not listen to others advice. I will try to be more open
and willing to accept others opinion.

Ming Cheng: I am very committed and am willing to participate in discussions both during PW
lessons and outside of lesson hours. I hope to give my 110% to my work so that discussions
are productive and work can be done efficiently. However, I may pay too much attention to
details and this may distract me from looking at the big picture at times.

3) Schedules

Aditya: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday before 5pm, Wed and Fri

Junqi: Monday, Tuesday, Thurs and Fri
Meilin: Mon, Tues, Thurs
Ming Cheng: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
Likely days for face-to-face meeting: Mondays and/or Tuesdays after school

4) Conflict resolution workflow

Step 1: I will sit him/her down and have a frank discussion about the issue. The measurable
goal/outcome is a commitment to appear online and be more involved in subsequent
discussions.
Step 2: I will stay back with him/her and do the project together in school. The measurable
goal/outcome is to finish the portion of work he/she is delegated to.
Step 3: I will inform the other group members to come to a common consensus as to how to
resolve the conflict pertaining to the person. The measurable goal/outcome is to have a
common plan of action to handle the issue in a reasonable manner.
Step 4: I will have a sit-down with the whole group to discuss the issues or problems the group
is facing and see if we can come to a common amicable resolution.
Step 5: I will ensure that the group sends constant reminders to the group to ensure that
everyone is on the same page with regards to the progression of the project.
Step 6: I will involve the teacher-mentor for the group to have a sit-down with the whole group to
see if the conflict can be mediated and if the teacher-mentor can provide advice with regards to
the issue the group is experiencing.
Step 7: I will have more sit-downs with the teacher-mentor to also discuss potential academic
penalties for the issue at hand.
Last Step: SEAB is informed of the results of the internal investigation and the offending student
may suffer a mark penalty in the Group Component or any other form of punishment that it
deems fit.

5) Rewards/Punishment System
- Punishment for unaccountability: Treat team members to a meal, full expenses +
drink
