Trainee Commercial Advisor, 20,000 to 25,000, Burnley

Working for a large engineering company in the Burnley region, our client is seeking to hire a Trainee
Commercial Advisor to full-fill the following role;

Purpose of position;
Commercially manage multiple projects from receipt of award until final account stage and in
conjunction with Project Delivery Manager assume responsibility for delivery of expected GM%
rate.
 Build positive relationships with customers to improve opportunities of repeat business and
additional scopes.
Read & interpret contracts, ensuring maximum potential is reached.

Prepare & present project profitability to Senior Management Team on a monthly basis.

Highlight any variances or overspend from the bid and work with Project Manager to take
decisive action to reduce overspend through gains elsewhere on Project.
Review commercial documents, including applications & invoices.

Raise and submit variation orders for client agreement in accordance with the contract.

Weekly forecasting of financials; including Revenue, Cost & Cash flow.

Prepare & populate revenue, sales accruals, reserves to the project cost account on a monthly
basis.
Review weekly site reports, updating forecast in preparation for reporting.

Proactively chasing trade debt & resolving any disputes with invoices in a timely manner.

Support the maintenance of receivables accounts.

Support disputed accounts, handling negotiations to resolve payment in line with terms.

Work Experience Required:

Background in commercial is essential, construction is preferred.
Previous experience of managing a multimillion dollar P&L.
Contracts experience
Forecasting experience
Administration background

23 days holiday entitlement with additional bank holidays.

Contributory pension scheme where the employer pays in up to 7% of salary (with 4% contribution by the
employee).

This role is permanent, and commutable from; Burnley, Blackburn, Rochdale, Bury, Ramsbottom,
Accrington, Nelson.
