In this screen shot of Rockwells PCDC webpage wesee versions 21.0.00 26.01.00 arelisted asbeing
Windows 7 Pro SP1 and Home Premium SP1compatible.

The remaining versions of Windows7 are listed as may be compatible which I interpret as meaning
these versions have notspecifically been tested, but should work.

I have RSLogix 5000, several versions including 20.01, running under Win7, supporting a factory full of
machinery. Now weve purchase a new machine with a PLC that uses 20.03. My understanding is that I
cant install 20.03 without losing 20.01 (and who knows what else). So Id like to install 20.03 in XPMode,
but it wont install, even though 20.03 shows to be compatible with XP. It fails to configure MSXML.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Larry,

I think Rockwell may include a copy of MSXML installation with RSLogix, and maybe running that
install separately first would help? The MSXML install also seems to be downloadable from MS
too

Please let us know how you make out,

Sincerely,

Shawn Tierney

Thanks for the hint. I had been trying to install from a folder outside of the VM. I
copyed the installation files into a folder inside the VM and then it was able to install
with no problem.

Now, how can I get FT Activation Manager to look at the host machines activation
server?

Thanks for helping!
