1. X, Y, Z are the three essential nutrients of our food. X and Y are required by the body in

necessary for good eyesight , healthy teeth and gums, whereas nutrients like Y are needed to build
bones and teeth,formation of blood and functioning of thyroid gland. The nutrient Z is required
exclusively for the growth and repair of the body.

EXTENSION WORK
Calculating the Body Mass Index (BMI), is a way to find out whether a person is overweight or obese.
The formula to calculate BMI is
BMI = Weight in Kg / (height in m X height in m)
With the help of your parent, calculate BMI of some adults in your house and your neighbours.
Note :
If BMI is below 18.5 , the person is underweight
If BMI is between 18.5 and 25, the person has a normal weight
If BMI is above 25, the person is overweight
If BMI is above 30, the person is obese
