THE MARKET NEED OF THE PRODUCT (second section)

The establishment of our business focuses on selling our own product Missed Call Button by
SpotKid Company which our main purpose is to solve problem in locating misplacing
belongings.
Based on our research finding, we found that distribution of population by age groups in 2016
showed that population in group 0-14 years old decreased 0.4 percentage point at 2016 (24.5%)
as compared to 2015 (24.9%). Meanwhile, working age population 15-64 years old increased by
0.2 percentage point at 2016 as compared to 2015. Subsequently, population aged 65 years
and above was also increased by 0.2 percentage points at the same period. In addition,
according to National Statistics Department in Malaysia, senior citizens aged 60 and above
made up 2.8 million or 9% of Malaysia population of 31 million last year. Women, Family and
Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said that Malaysia make up
15% or 5.6 million of its population.
Based on our research finding, we found that in order for we to face the ageing nation status,
especially in terms of manpower needs and health issues, our company has been making a lot
of research for us to help these markets. Our company had choose area in Seremban which
located in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The reason on why we choose this area is because,
firstly, it is easy for us to make research as we are still students plus it is near with our university
in Seremban. Secondly, population in Seremban is way much smaller than other districts or
area which is consists 372 917 people. We found out that half from the population consists of
senior citizens which populated 50% of people in Seremban. This make these population is our
main target markets which is senior citizens.
We notice that these markets have problems in terms of misplacing items or belongings. So our
company took the initiative to create a smart and high technological button or device called
Missed Call Button. Besides that, our product focuses on the idea of electronic button finder
which are small electronic device used to recover misplaced belongings. This device have
limited range which can detect within 100 meter. This device width is ____ mm and diameter of
___ mm. The best features of this device is there are two-way separation monitoring. It issued
an alert when users appear to be close by receiving track signal. With this product, we can
ensure that any customers especially senior citizens who have problems in remembering where
they put their belongings can use this product in finding them.
Missed Call Button by SpotKid Company using online services where they can take a look our
main distribution channel which is under Eleven Street and Lazada. They can have them as we
will send the product directly to their house or locations they want to have it.
