Job Description

Position: Management Information Technology Specialist


Reporting to: Chief Information Officer

Overall Objective:
To ensure the company maintains optimum data security, provides highly efficient and responsive IT environment
to its uses, ensures the highest levels of business continuity mechanisms and ensure that spend is cost effective
and usage efficient with regards to all matters relating to IT.

Scope of Work:
1) Develop an MIT Compliance checklist as per requirements collected from management
2) Ensure that all entities in the company adhere to the MIT Compliance checklist
3) Create an IT Support mechanism where all users receive maximum support and assistance
4) Ensure that all IT environments are designed with cost effectiveness in mind as well as all components of
the MIT Compliance checklist are met
5) Ensure that all IT networks are well secured from data security, intrusion, internal data integrity
6) Ensure that all uses data is automatically backed up and available when needed
7) Ensure that data privacy and security is maintained at all times
8) Ensure that all IT systems are adequately integrated and well managed across all companies. This includes
access control, CCTV, backup space, mailboxes, LAN access, VPN access and so forth.
9) Support the MIS Manager in all aspect needed to ensure that MIS runs smoothly over an IT infrastructure
10) Any and all matters that may be requested by the COO or higher management

Key Performance Indicators:


Executing of the Deliverables within the time frame
High internal user satisfaction of various information technologies, measured through user feedback
surveys and vigorous compliance testing
The MIS and Core Finance Roll-out Plan will form the KPIs for the remainder of the period

Qualifications:
1) First degree plus IT Certifications for information systems
2) Candidate should have a proven track record of a minimum of 3 years of successful implementation of
Information Technologies or complex LANs

Requirements:
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external parties
- Ability to vigorously research and test system capabilities of various systems
- Innate knowledge of creating inter-linked systems
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Total dedication to user satisfaction and to understand user needs even when poorly defined by the user

- Ability to code and develop databases is preferred but not required
