PRINT HEAD WARRANTY GUIDELINES

There has been confusion regarding the different warranties on the Brother Print heads. We hope the following
information provides a clear definition of our existing warranty limits for all of our current Print heads.

Note: Any product using non-Brother supplies that has caused a failure may not qualify for this warranty.
Please call technical support for additional advice.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLACING A WARRANTY PARTS ORDER

1. The Ink Cartridges are supplied free of charge along with the Print head, however, they must be
ordered using the accessory number (I.E. LCO2BK for black, LC02Y for yellow, LC02M for magenta,
and LC02C for cyan).
2. All warranty orders must be faxed to the parts order desk Fax # 1800-284-7278. No exceptions.
3. The bottom portion of the order form should be completed providing all of the information (Model, Serial
number etc) and ensuring the items ordered are selected as warranty (there is a box to be checked
along side each item).
4. If the serial number of the machine reflects the machine to be out of warranty, Proof of Purchase for the
machine will be requested to process the order.
5. If the machine is out of Warranty but the Print head is in warranty, Proof of Purchase for the Print Head
must be supplied.
6. If either Tech Support or Customer Service has authorized the repair, a work order will be issued
and sent to the dealer. The dealer must then provide a copy via fax to the parts dept to complete the order.
7. Warranty and non-warranty items should not be ordered on the same order form. They should be submitted
separately.
