Nearly everyone has been affected by cancer in some way. In fact, more than one million Americans are diagnosed each
year, and with each diagnosis another family is struck with the financial burden of care. With mounting medical bills,
many patients and their families find it hard to make ends meet. Assistance in Healthcare, Inc. (AIH) , supported by
Cancer Treatment Centers of America, provides aid to those who have become financially distressed as a result of their
courageous fight. AIH helps defray the costs of non-medical needs, such as utilities, housing, transportation and basic
living expenses to patients so that they can focus on what’s important—healing.
To continue to support cancer patients and their families during their trying times, we need your help. Assistance in
Healthcare will host our second annual “Opportunities for Kindness Gala” on September 18, 2010 at 6:00pm at the Ritz
Carlton in Philadelphia. We look forward to seeing you and working with you to become one of our sponsors or offer
items for our silent auction. With your help, we hope to raise over $100,000 to assist those who are battling against such
a ruthless disease.
We recognize that economic conditions have caused everyone to reevaluate their financial giving. Those of you whose
lives have been touched by cancer know that those battling this disease cannot wait for an economic recovery to receive
support. The need for your help is greater than ever. This is your ‘opportunity for kindness’ – your contribution has the
power to make a difference to those living with cancer.
The sponsorship opportunities for this year’s gala are enclosed. We hope you will help provide hope and healing to those
living with cancer by participating.
Thank you for your consideration and I hope to see you on September 18 at The Ritz Carlton.
Sincerely,
John Goodchild
